Gwyneth Paltrow slammed for latest cooking video after fans spot shocking kitchen behavior
Less than a week after she was slammed for her untidy kitchen habits, Gwyneth Paltrow has fans fuming over another cooking faux pas. The Goop founder, 52, shared a video to Instagram showing her making a tuna salad for husband Brad Falchuk - but crucially, she left fans perturbed after appearing to neglect some basic food hygiene standards. 'I've been making a version of Brad's favorite summer tuna salad for years. It's fresh, simple, and now you can get it at Goop Kitchen,' the actress, who was glowing in a bright red collared shirt, captioned the short video. While the colorful salad was prepared meticulously and lovingly by Paltrow, users couldn't help but notice she was wearing her long, blonde hair out and dangling over her shoulders - a big no-no in the service industry when preparing food given the risk of hair falling into the meal. 'Cool, but how painful to see someone cooking with long, loose hair!! Help!!!' one user responded. 'Why can't you put your hair up when you cook? Your long tresses hanging over the finished salad is so unappealing,' complained another. Someone else snarked: 'Put your hair back when you cook,' with another agreeing, writing: 'Sorry tie your hair back when cooking.' 'Looks delicious Gwyneth but I would put my hair in a ponytail! So no hair drops in the food!' exclaimed another. Others defended the actress, saying they also don't tie their hair back when preparing food at home either. 'Never put my hair up in my own friggin' house cooking for my family. Get over it,' someone commented. Paltrow also showed off her expansive backyard in the short clip, showing her collecting fresh vegetables from the garden before slicing and placing them in the salad. Last week, the Academy Award-winning actress posted a video of her whipping up an intricate, gourmet breakfast for husband - with people fuming over her apparent disregard for where the trash ends up. Paltrow made a lobster benedict for her husband of seven years but it was her disposal of the egg whites that infuriated her followers. She was seen cracking eggs into a strainer before then appearing to tip the whites directly onto the floor and nonchalantly carrying on with poaching. The Goop founder has been married to Falchuk, 54, a television writer known for co-creating massive hits like Glee and American Horror Story, since 2018. The couple do not share any children together but are stepparents to each other's kids. Falchuk is stepfather to two kids Paltrow shares with her ex-husband Chris Martin — daughter Apple and son Moses. The actress is also stepmother to Isabella and Brody, whom Falchuk shares with his ex-wife Suzanne Bukinik. A new biography about the Shakespeare in Love star, which also examines her relationship with Ben Affleck, claims Paltrow, 52, was mournful when Brad Pitt, 61, tied the knot with Jennifer Aniston in July 2000, but tried to keep it to herself, according to an excerpt published in US Weekly. In Gwyneth: A Biography, author Amy Odell claims that Paltrow got snappy with a reporter at the Toronto International Film Festival in September of that year when asked about her love life while promoting Duets, the film she starred in, directed by her father, the late Bruce Paltrow. 'The reporter then asked how she felt about Brad Pitt marrying Jennifer Aniston [in July of that year]. "Are you really asking me this question?" Gwyneth replied, her eyes now "daggers." "I can't comment on this kind of thing." 'In reality, Gwyneth confided to friends that she'd felt sad when she learned they were getting married. (She was also fond of telling them that Brad "has terrible taste in women.")' According to an excerpt shared with People, Paltrow and Pitt met when she auditioned for a role in Legends of the Fall. She didn't get that part, but Pitt reportedly suggested she play his wife in the horror classic Se7en, which began production in 1994. Paltrow had also been offered a role in the Keanu Reeves project, Feeling Minnesota, and when deciding which role to take a friend reportedly asked, 'Well, who do you want to date, Brad Pitt or Keanu Reeves?' According to Odell, 'The two would walk around the set holding hands, and smoked cigarettes together outside their trailers, Gwyneth holding hers like a thirties movie star.' Daily Mail previously reached out to Paltrow's representatives for a statement regarding the allegations in the book.

Rat-infested kebab shop allowed to reopen after 'improvements'
A kebab shop which was closed down by the council after rat droppings, cockroaches and maggots were found inside the premises has been allowed to reopen. Shinwari Kebab, located at 52 Manchester Road, was served a notice of closure by Swindon Borough Council on Thursday, June 5, after a customer who believed they had contracted food poisoning contacted them with concerns about rats running around the premises, flies and cockroaches. Ms McGee, representing Swindon Borough Council, appeared at Swindon Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, June 19, presenting an application for a Hygiene Emergency Prohibition Order. This order was granted by Judge Allman to prohibit Shinwari Kebab from reopening until the council were satisfied that the takeaway, which was handed a zero food hygiene rating on March 19, would no longer pose a threat to public health. (Image: Swindon Borough Council) (Image: Swindon Borough Council) The court heard that when food safety officer Ms Essam visited the shop, there was no hot water, cloths were stored on the floor, there were no cleaning products, there was a strong smell of pest urine, and there were urine stains on food containers. She witnessed the director of the business, Izoitullah Nazari, preparing food with broken gloves, which were missing two fingers, and she later discovered they had been discarded on the naan bread preparation table. Director of the business Izoitullah Nazari leaving court (Image: Newsquest) A dirty Just Eat bag had been used to store food; there were concerns about meat juices leaking into the container for ice, and there were large gaps providing access for rats to roam freely. Additionally, hairs and debris had been left on the oven, and a bag of potatoes left on the floor had been gnawed, along with aprons, tin foil and flour that had arrived on the day of Ms Essam's visit. She spotted urine stains on the walls, further rat droppings, food and a discarded cigarette butt in other areas of the shop. Nazari and the current manager of the takeaway told the court that they had spent £26,000 making the required changes, and the shop was now "definitely clean and tidy." Judge Allman ordered them to pay £2,000 in costs. Three weeks after the case was presented in court, Shinwari Kebab has been granted permission to reopen following 'sufficient improvements.' The owners have been warned that there are still changes they must make to ensure they can continue trading. A Swindon Borough Council spokesperson said: 'The takeaway was allowed to reopen because sufficient improvements have been made by the owner since its closure. 'This has included pest-proofing the entire premises, producing evidence from a professional pest contractor that pests are no longer present in the food business, and ensuring that a deep clean has been carried out with the appropriate chemicals. 'Although our food hygiene team is satisfied that the pest problem has been addressed, other hygiene improvements are still required, and the business owner is working towards those. 'The food hygiene rating for the business will remain at zero until at least September, unless the necessary improvements have been carried out and an application is made for an earlier review.'

150 live goats found, Hong Kong resident arrested in illegal slaughterhouse bust
A 51-year-old Hong Kong resident has been arrested for operating an illegal slaughterhouse in Yuen Long, where 150 live goats were discovered on a site with 'extremely poor hygiene'. Authorities said the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department, in a joint operation with police on Thursday, raided a secluded, enclosed plot of land spanning Ngan Kam Road in the New Territories, following a tip-off that someone was selling mutton online and was suspected of illegally slaughtering goats for sale. 'The involved location was secluded, with an area of about 6,000 square meters (64,583 sq ft), and around 150 live goats were reared within it,' said Senior Health Inspector Juliana Ng Wing-in. She added that the site was found with 'extremely poor hygiene and rudimentary equipment, and that there were no qualified professionals present to inspect the livestock.' Ng said during the raid, officers found activities consistent with illegal slaughtering and the sale of mutton, and believed the goats were bred from within the premises. Around 52kg (114lbs) of mutton and offal of unknown origin, with an estimated market value of HK$30,000 (US$3,821), was seized and destroyed. An additional 10kg of suspected illegally slaughtered mutton and offal was sealed for further investigation.
