Prez medal, CM award for KP, state cops
Kolkata: The Bengal Police and Kolkata Police bagged 16 President's Medals for Distinguished Service and Medals for Meritorious Service.
Tripurari Atharv, director of the directorate of economic offences, received the President's Medal.
Among those who received the MSM are Howrah Police commissioner Praveen Tripathi, Chandernagore Police commissioner Amit P Javalgi, DSP Priyabrata Bakshi and ACP Debanshu Bhattacharya.

The state announced its own medals for cops. Among those who received the CM's Medal for Outstanding Service are IG (STF & traffic) Gaurav Sharma, Jt CP (KP headquarters) Meeraj Khalid, IGP (Malda Range) Dip Narayan Goswami, and DIG (STF) Debasmita Das.
The CM's Medal for Commendable Service went to DIG (acting SP, Jhargram) Arijit Sinha and SI Ishwar Soren, now posted with Bankura Police. tnn
