Libya's National Security Adviser Participates in Moscow Security Forum
Libya's National Security Adviser, Ibrahim Abu Shnaf, took part in the 13th International Meeting of High-Ranking Officials Responsible for Security Matters, held in Moscow from 27 to 29 May. The event, known as the International Security Forum, gathered senior representatives from various countries to discuss global and regional security challenges.
Abu Shnaf attended the forum following an official invitation from Russian Security Council Secretary, Sergei Shoigu. The meeting was hosted at the Russia National Centre, where participants engaged in discussions focused on counter-terrorism, regional stability, cybersecurity, and strategic cooperation.
The Libyan official's participation reflects Libya's efforts to expand its diplomatic and security engagements with international partners amid ongoing internal challenges. Abu Shnaf's presence in Moscow also highlights the growing security cooperation between Libya and Russia, especially in the context of evolving geopolitical dynamics across the Mediterranean and North Africa.
