Regina police investigating 5th homicide of 2025, officers searching for video surveillance of crime scene

The Regina Police Service (RPS) is now investigating the city's fourth homicide of 2025.
At approximately 2:00 a.m. on May 30, officers were dispatched to a call for service near Marshall Crescent in the city's Normanview neighbourhood.
Officers located the body of an adult man at the scene.
Police secured the area and members of RPS's major crimes and forensic identification units in addition to the Saskatchewan Coroners Service responded.
An investigation later determined the cause of death to be a result of homicide.
The victim has been identified as 22-year-old Wahkia Ewalk. The investigation is considered ongoing.
RPS asks those in the area within 1st Avenue North, Forget Street, 3rd Avenue North and Osbourne Crescent to contact police if they have exterior video surveillance.
