We sold our modern, bling UK home & bought a ‘huge' house with a pool & gym in Spain for £100k less – it's paradise
A MUM who quit life in the UK has showed off her incredible new Spanish home, which features a pool and gym. She waved goodbye to their life and drove all the way to Alicante, Spain, along with her husband, two teens, three dogs and cat. 2 Now, the mum has been sharing their journey on TikTok under the username @ gbfitnessuk2spain - and their new home has left people stunned. In the viral video, the she gave a tour of the outside of the property, which spanned over many acres. Once you come through the main gates to the house there's a huge drive way with two paths you can follow - one that leads to the huge garage and the other to the house. "There's two parts to the garage," the mum explained. "One is totally full and I didn't have the key and this bit at the moment we're just storying wood, but we will make a games room in there," she added. The mum noted that the garden is still a work in progress, and one of the next things they plan on doing is adding more trees for shade. The open space had a patio area with seating, and a huge pool, which the mum said they will eventually add sun loungers around. The pool area even has an outside shower and an area just for table tennis. There's even more space for the kids to have fun, as around the corner from the pool is a huge trampoline and a bowls area. And the family have already go to work in creating an outdoor gym, and an outdoor kitchen. I ditched the UK & bought a house for the same price as a summer holiday As she continued to walk around the property it was clear there was plenty of space to do whatever they wanted with the land. In a previous clip, the mum explained they sold their four bedroom house in the UK, despite it being "perfect". "Back in the UK you feel like you're just working to pay the bills, so the reason we sold it was to be able to move to Spain and buy a cheaper house to get rid of the mortgage and have less outgoings," she said. In fact, the mum revealed they sold their UK home for £100k more than the price of their Spanish pad. In time, the mum said she hopes to replicate the "very modern, very bling" style of their old home, but there's a lot of work to do. But after showing off the new digs people couldn't believe how much bag she got for her buck. One commented: "So much property and land for your money over there, you can see why so many people do it." "I'm tired just watching [the video] it's huge! Looks absolutely amazing hun," a second wrote. And a third said: "You literally need an Uber to get around the garden, it's lovely though." Not everyone was impressed with the family's new pad though as one person pointed out: "See, this is this is the issue with you Spanish foreigners at the moment. "To YOU, with your English money, the houses seem cheap, to us they're just a pipe dream, an unreachable goal due to how incredibly expensive houses are when you're earning Spanish wages. "Soon there won't be any Spanish homeowners and this is what's causing so much hate (even though technically it's not your fault.)" Moving house hacks 1. Declutter Before You Pack Sort through your belongings and get rid of anything you no longer need. Donate, sell, or recycle items to lighten your load. 2. Create an Inventory Make a list of all your items. This helps keep track of everything and ensures nothing gets lost in the move. 3. Use Quality Packing Materials Invest in sturdy boxes, bubble wrap, and packing tape. This will protect your belongings during the move. 4. Label Everything Clearly label each box with its contents and the room it belongs to. This makes unpacking much easier and more organized. 5. Pack a 'First Day' Box Include essentials like toiletries, a change of clothes, snacks, and important documents. This will keep you from rummaging through boxes on your first day. 6. Take Photos of Electronics Setup Before unplugging your electronics, take photos of the wiring setup. This will make it easier to reconnect everything at your new place. 7. Use Suitcases for Heavy Items Pack books and other heavy items in rolling suitcases. This makes them easier to transport and reduces the risk of injury. 8. Colour-Code Your Boxes Use different coloured stickers or markers for each room. This will help movers quickly identify where each box should go in your new home.

I sold my UK house to buy my dream home in Spain, it comes with a massive pool and saved me £100k
A WOMAN has revealed why she ditched the UK for sunny Spain as she showed viewers her new home. Taking to social media, the mum-of-two and her husband left England to start a new life in Alicante. 3 The mum, who goes by gbfitnessuk2spain on TikTok, revealed she had a wake up call when her best friend sadly passed away. The mum, who was sick of 'just surviving' and 'working to pay the bills,' so decided to leave behind her life in the UK and hasn't looked back. She moved abroad with her partner, daughter and son, but her son soon decided he wanted to stay in the UK and live with his grandparents, visiting the family for regular holidays in their new home. In a recent clip, the mum showed her new house in Spain which was part of a gated community. The massive house had a huge driveway which took 'ten minutes to walk around.' To the side of the house was a massive private pool the family owned with plenty of space for sun loungers. At the back of the house was yet another seating area fenced in to keep her dog Poppy safe. There was also a smaller building to the side of the house which the mum planned to turn into a games room, Alongside the pool is a table tennis area, trampoline, outdoor shower and a bowls area. As if that wasn't enough, the family also had their own private trail leading from the house which was perfect for long dog walks. I ditched my retail job in the UK for island paradise…rent is just £225, dinner costs £2 & our poolside office has a spa To top it off, up at the highest point of the land, the family were building a fire pit area to make the most of the scenery. The family were loving their new life in the sun, and she revealed the house which was significantly bigger than her home in the UK cost them £100,000 less. The clip went viral with over 72k views and many people took to the comments in awe of their new home. One person wrote: "That's what you call living the dream. Any insights into the financial aspect?" "Houses out here are a lot cheaper than the UK and if you go inland you get a lot more for your money," she replied. "We sold our UK home and this was 100k less. I'll do a video of our UK home and you can see the comparison in size and what you get for your money." Moving house hacks 1.
