Ryan Gosling & Will Ferrell To Star In Action Comedy ‘Tough Guys' For Amazon MGM Studios
Ryan Gosling and Will Ferrell are attached to star on Tough Guys, a new action comedy for Amazon MGM Studios, sources tell Deadline.

Originating as a spec from writer Daniel Gold, the story follows two henchmen who are tired of being disposable and break free from the criminal underworld, rewriting the rules as they build a new life on their own terms.
We're told Gosling and Jessie Henderson are in talks produce through Open Invite Entertainment, which has a first-look deal with Amazon MGM Studios. Ferrell and Jessica Elbaum are in talks to produce for Gloria Sanchez Productions, with Trevor Engelson and Aaron Folbe in talks to exec produce for Underground. No word yet on who's directing.
Next to be seen in Amazon MGM's Project Hail Mary, Gosling also has Star Wars: Starfighter coming up.
Coming off You're Cordially Invited at Amazon MGM, Ferrrell's upcoming slate includes Judgment Day at Amazon MGM, Street Justice for 20th, and Golf at Netflix, among other projects.
Gold is a Toronto-born writer and producer best known for his work on all seven seasons of the International Emmy-nominated Netflix/CBC comedy Workin' Moms, where he rose through the ranks and most recently served as Supervising Producer. In addition to writing, he was also an on-set producer throughout the show's run, playing a key role in shaping its voice and execution.
