Los Angeles County's homeless population fell for a second straight year, suggesting recent state and local policies are beginning to show results in a region that has been beset by homelessness for decades.
The number of unhoused people in the county fell 4% from 2024, with an estimated 72,308 people living on the street or in temporary shelter, according to a Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) report released Monday.
