(Source: Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority) As of Aug. 5, anyone is able to view real-time water data across all Saugeen watershed municipalities. Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority announced that data from its hydrometric monitoring network is available online through the Collaborative Water Data Viewer. Anyone, including municipalities, stakeholders and the public, can access the watershed information at no cost. The data is updated hourly and provides information about water level, streamflow, air temperature, water temperature and soil moisture. 'The CWDV is an important step forward in transparency, accessibility and watershed engagement. Our partners and the public can now access reliable environmental monitoring data in real time, supporting emergency preparedness, research and responsible planning,' said Katie Thomas, Manager of Water Resources at SVCA. 081025 - Water data Saugeen Staff using a flow meter to collect a streamflow measurement (a measure of the volume of water moving through the river over a fixed period of time).
