Cellcom: Meaningful progress made towards resolution, voice & SMS services still unavailable
(WFRV) – After more than 24 hours, text messaging and voice services through Cellcom are still unavailable, however, officials say that progress towards a resolution has been made. Cellcom has been providing updates through its Facebook page and website, and after working through the night, its teams have reportedly made 'meaningful progress' to fix the ongoing issue. UPDATE: Over 11,000 Wisconsin customers without power after Thursday's severe weather Customers still have access to data services, iMessaging, RCS messaging, and 9-1-1 emergency services, as well as additional third-party enhanced messaging and video call services being available. On Thursday night, Cellcom provided the following statement: We wish we had better news to end the day. Unfortunately, voice and SMS services are still down. We also know that saying 'sorry' can feel hollow when this has impacted your day, your business, your peace of mind. But we mean it — deeply. This isn't just a service disruption; it's a disruption to our community, our families, and our everyday lives. And we take that personally — because we're not just your provider. We're your neighbor. We use this service too. We're still here. Still working. Still committed — for as long as it takes. And when this is behind us, it won't just be about restoring service. It will be about restoring trust. Thank you — truly — for standing with us. Cellcom Officials also noted that there is no indication that customer data has been compromised. Cellcom working to restore voice and text services after outage
(WFRV) – Cellcom customers may be experiencing some frustrations on Thursday morning as there is currently a text messaging and voice service outage, officials say. According to a release from Cellcom, while the voice service and SMS messaging systems are unavailable at this time, customers still have access to data services, iMessaging, RCS messaging, and 9-1-1 emergency services.
