V of BTS expressed gratitude for surpassing 1 billion plays on Spotify. He shared a picture of the plaque he received from the platform in recognition of the feat, achieved in December last year, along with the caption, 'Thank you so much for your support, Army,' marked with a purple heart. The artist joined the Billions Club with solo single 'Love Me Again,' a prerelease from his first solo album, 'Layover,' and is the first K-pop B-side track to hit the mark. The R&B tune certified gold in US in February logging half a million unit sales. It hit Billboard's Hot 100 at No. 96 and topped iTunes Top Songs Chart in 102 regions.

BTS' Jimin garners 300m Spotify streams with ‘Serendipity'

Jimin of BTS amassed 300 million streams on Spotify with his solo single 'Serendipity' as of last week. It is his seventh solo endeavor to reach the milestone. 'Serendipity' is part of the band's repackaged 'Love Yourself: Answer' album from 2018. The single topped the iTunes Top Songs Chart in 80 regions and earned gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America. Before unveiling the full-length single, an intro version of the R&B serenade was included in the band's fifth EP 'Love Yourself: Her,' released in 2017. The accompanying music video, which served as a trailer for the septet's mini album, surpassed 100 million views on YouTube in 2019, becoming the band's 19th video to hit the milestone. The video was the first featuring a single member to do so.

Stray Kids go platinum in Japan with 2nd single

Stray Kids earned a platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan with their second single in the country. The physical single 'Scars / Thunderous -– Japanese ver. -- ' logged 250,000 shipments as of last week. The single was released in October 2021, and 'Scars,' one of the three tracks, topped the iTunes Top Songs Chart in 32 regions as well as Line Music's Weekly Songs Top 100. Meanwhile, the band of eight will visit Japan in May for its 'Dominate' world tour. Stray Kids will go live in Shizuoka on May 10-11 and 17-18, returning to the country about five months after their Osaka show in December. The three-show gig in Osaka, combined with another three concerts in Tokyo held in November, drew approximately 315,000 fans.

NCT's Mark tops iTunes Chart in 14 regions with 1st solo LP

Mark of NCT debuted atop the iTunes Top Albums Chart in 14 regions with his first solo album, "The Firstfruit." The 13-track LP was released Monday and swept major local music charts, while the main track "1999" debuted atop Bugs' real-time single chart. On the day of the album's release, Mark hosted a showcase in Seoul and performed songs from the LP and his first solo single 'Child,' which was dropped in 2022 through label SM Entertainment's archiving project. 'Child' topped the iTunes Top Songs Chart in 14 regions as well as music charts at home. Meanwhile, the first episode of his radio show on Apple Music 1 will be unveiled Tuesday. The four-part exclusive show 'on your MARK' will air every Tuesday.

TXT's Beomgyu tops iTunes Chart in 11 regions

Beomgyu of Tomorrow X Together landed atop the iTunes Top Songs Chart in 11 regions on Friday with his solo track 'Panic.' The rock tune also rose to No. 2 on Line Music's real-time chart, Song Top 100, in Japan. He rolled out his first solo mixtape, 'Panic,' on Thursday, a self-written song that 'offers a glimpse into the depth of his soul.' He is the second member of the five-piece act to drop solo music, after Yeonjun. 'It is good to present a song that, from the beginning, soundly reflects my thoughts and tastes,' said the idol, adding that he projected more of himself compared to when working on songs for the band. The quintet is in the middle of the European leg of its tour 'Act : Promise Ep. 2,' which began in Barcelona, Spain, on March 20. It is set to perform in Paris on Sunday and in Amsterdam on April 1.
