Newcastle paedophile with 'vile' baby abuse picture jailed

Former Met police officer from Egham made indecent child images
A former Metropolitan Police officer from Surrey will stay on the sex offenders register for life after admitting voyeurism and creating indecent images of a Hargrave, 49, of Egham, had installed a camera in a child's bedroom and bathroom, creating indecent images and who resigned last year, was charged following an investigation in 2023 relating to the victim, who was aged between 12 and 15 at the time. At Guildford Crown Court on Wednesday, Hargrave was given a 13-month prison sentence for voyeurism alongside three months for the indecent images. Both sentences have been suspended for two years. Hargrave, who pleaded guilty to two counts each of voyeurism and of making indecent images of a child, was also handed a 10-year sexual harm prevention he is subject to an indefinite restraining order against the victim and her was originally charged with six offences but the CPS confirmed that no evidence was offered in respect of two of accelerated misconduct hearing found the former officer, who resigned from the Met Police in August 2024, would have been dismissed without notice had he still been a serving officer.

Ex-hospital consultant bailed by court on indecent images and voyeurism charges
A former hospital consultant has appeared in court charged with voyeurism, attempting to incite a teenage girl to engage in sexual activity, and making indecent images of children. Dr Matthew Isles, who worked as an ear, nose and throat specialist prior to his arrest in February this year, spoke only to confirm his personal details during a brief hearing at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Wednesday. The 53-year-old, of Whiston, near Cheadle, Staffordshire, was not asked to enter any pleas at the request of his lawyer and was granted conditional bail to appear at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on June 16. The hearing was told that 13 new charges faced by Isles, who worked at the Royal Stoke University Hospital and County Hospital, Stafford, would be joined with similar allegations already being dealt with at the Crown Court. The latest charges, read into the court record by the magistrates' clerk, include one of attempting to incite a 15-year-old girl to engage in sexual activity. Wearing a dark suit and a blue striped tie, Isles appeared before three magistrates further charged with possessing extreme pornographic images portraying sex acts involving a person and live animals, three counts of distributing indecent images of children via messaging apps and one of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child. Magistrates were told the former medic is also charged with observing a person doing a private act in 2023 for sexual gratification by recording them without consent, three counts of making indecent images of a child, one of possessing prohibited images of a child, and one of possessing extreme pornographic images 'portraying an act likely to result in serious injury to person's private parts'. The remaining new charge faced by Isles alleges that he was in possession of a 'paedophile manual movie' in February this year at Whiston 'which contained advice or guidance' about sexual abuse. The University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM) said in February that it was fully co-operating with the police in their investigation but it could not comment on an active criminal case. The Trust has since confirmed that Isles is no longer one of its employees.

South Shields paedophile sent girl in USA sex messages
A paedophile sent sexual messages to a 14-year-old girl in the USA and collected images of children as young as three being raped, a court has Troughton, 22, amassed more than 1,000 indecent images of children, including more than 350 in the most serious category, over an eight-year period, Newcastle Crown Court was cautioned for making an indecent image in 2021 but ignored the "warning across his bows" and escalated his offending, Judge Tim Gittins who admitted attempting to engage in sexual communications with a child and three counts of making indecent images of children, was jailed for 16 months suspended for two years. Northumbria Police raided his home in Gateshead and seized his iPhone on 5 April 2023 after receiving information he had shared indecent images, prosecutor Omar Ahmad phone was found to contain 352 of the most serious Category A images, 356 Category B images and 518 Category C, as well as two extreme pornographic videos, the court also found Snapchat messages he had been exchanging with the girl in the USA, who told him she was requested naked pictures of her, with the girl sending him graphic videos of herself, Mr Ahmad also told the girl it was "so sad" she lived far away as he would have "loved to meet" her, the court heard.
