Target Executive Says Stores' In-Stock Levels Are Improving
Target Corp. is making progress toward fixing one of its most stubborn problems: out-of-stock merchandise.
On-shelf availability for thousands of best-selling items was recently the highest it's ever been, Chief Operating Officer Michael Fiddelke told employees during an internal meeting Thursday. These products make up a big piece of Target's sales, he said in a recording reviewed by Bloomberg News. He didn't specify how Target measures in-stock levels.
