(Source: Google Maps) Police say a London man is facing charges after interrupting a soccer game and yielding a knife over the weekend. A man was seen walking through soccer fields in the 1200 block of Adelaide Street North while consuming an alcoholic beverage on Sunday at 8:40 p.m. The suspect allegedly walked towards the players and began yelling obscenities at them. Police say the suspect was asked to leave the field multiple times before producing what appeared to be a knife. The suspect allegedly approached an adult female player with the knife in hand while making stabbing motions in her direction. Police responded to the area and arrested the suspect man without incident. Police say the victim and suspect were not known to each other. There were no reported injuries. Officers seized a knife. As a result of the investigation, a 30-year-old London man has been charged with the following offences: Possession of a weapon; Assault with a weapon; and Fail to comply with release order. The accused remains in custody and is expected to appear in London court on June 12. Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Information can also be sent in online anonymously to London Middlesex Crime Stoppers.

ARMED police have rushed to a residential area in Manchester after receiving reports of a "man with a knife." A nearby school has been placed in lockdown as a precaution while armed cops swarm the area hunting for their suspect. 1 A police helicopter rushed to the scene and was spotted circling above New Moston, Manchester. Cops were reportedly spotted all over the residential area around the school as they hunted for their suspect. Armed officers were seen blocking entrances to a nearby park at around 3pm. Cops were initially called to a doctors surgery on Moston Lane East after a staff member was reportedly threatened with a blade. The suspect fled the scene with police launching a major search of the nearby area. New Moston Primary School went into lockdown as a "precaution" with the armed man nearby. The suspect is still at large as cops desperately try to locate him. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "Emergency services were called to reports of a concern for welfare on Moston Lane East in Moston at around 2:17pm this afternoon. "A man threated a member of staff at a doctor's surgery with a knife and then made off from the surgery. Enquiries are ongoing to locate the man. No injuries have been reported. "As a precaution a nearby primary school decided to go into lockdown."

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested following an incident involving a knife outside a school. Thames Valley Police said it was called to Chiltern Hills Academy, in Chesham, Buckinghamshire, at about 15:00 BST on Wednesday, to reports of a male with a knife. The teenager was arrested on suspicion of possession of a knife in a public state secondary school confirmed it was put into "lockdown" and at no point were students or staff in immediate danger. The teenager has been released under investigation while inquiries continue, the force added. "There were no reports of any threats made to anybody at the school and we believe this to be an isolated incident," the force Dobbs, the school's principal, said on its website that it was "advised by the police to put the school into lockdown". "The police isolated this incident using a secure room in the reception area of the school," he said. Students were kept in their classrooms but were allowed to leave the site by 15:45."I can inform you that at no point were students or staff in immediate danger, and the lockdown was conducted out of caution in accordance with our established safety procedures," he added. ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – Detectives are investigating an officer-involved shooting that resulted in one man, who was wielding a knife, being shot. According to the St. Louis County Police Department, an officer was alerted to a domestic disturbance just after 11:30 a.m. this morning in the 1300 block of Eagles Way Court in Hazlewood, Missouri. When arriving at the scene, the officer, who has two years of law enforcement experience, came across a man who was holding a knife. Police say the man refused to put down the weapon, which further escalated the incident. According to the department, the officer deployed his gun, shooting the man. The man who was shot was taken to a hospital, but the extent of his injuries was not disclosed to FOX 2.
