I Found the Most Comfortable Travel Pants Ever at Amazon—and They're Under $30 Today
One thing that doesn't belong in my suitcase is denim. I'm a travel writer who learns from her mistakes, and backpacking through eight countries with a pair of bulky jeans weighing on my shoulders was a valuable lesson. Even now, with my backpacking days mostly behind me, I'll still only travel with pants that are light as a feather. The viral Promover pants from Amazon are some of the best I've found. Instead of squeezing myself into a pair of jeans, I slip these stretchy, buttery-soft bottoms on for long flights, yoga sessions, easy hikes, and even dinner outings. In fact, they've not only passed as classy trousers, but they've also received countless compliments in snazzy settings where yoga pants wouldn't be welcome. I give this Amazon link out to everyone. Now, I'm giving it to you because the pants are on sale for Amazon Prime Day. I found these pants at the top of the Amazon best-seller list, boasting more than 8,000 five-star ratings, and I immediately bought them after reading reviews like this: 'These pants can be paired with a slinky top and heels for a night out, a blouse and flats for work, or with any casual or active wear tops and shoes. They are stretchy enough to exercise in … [and] even comfortable enough to sleep in, which I have also done.' Honestly, same. That reviewer went on to say they travel with three pairs 'as they can work for just about anything.' And it's true, they can. The 19-percent spandex material makes them feel like workout leggings, but the wide, flowy legs and wide waistband give them a more polished look. They come in petite, short, tall, and extra tall sizes with inseams varying from 27 to 35 inches, and they're even more accessible to short people like me (4-foot-11, here!) because they have discreet cut lines sewn into the hems. It's not easy to find pants for my proportions, but these fit like a glove. The lightweight material means they take up minimal space in a bag, making them the perfect pants for a hot destination. I packed them for a trip to the Caribbean—daily highs in the 90s with sticky humidity—and they didn't trap in body heat or show sweat. Other travelers say they've worn them on international flights, long walks, and more. One sported them all day at a theme park and never felt more comfortable.
