Windy Conditions Tonight, More Showers Start Off the Week
Wind Advisory: Raleigh County, Fayette County, Nicholas County, and Pocahontas County. Tonight sees our breezy conditions continue. Winds will sit near 15 miles per hour with gusts approaching 40 miles per hour in some spots. Clouds will sit over us tonight, but we will stay dry. The inflow of cooler western air will yield lows in the low 50s tonight. Tomorrow will be a beautiful day with highs in the low 70s. Cooler, dryer air rushing behind Friday's cold front will yield clear skies. We will see our wind gusts calm down, with those gusts approaching 25 miles per hour. Tomorrow will still be breezy, however, with winds sitting near 15 miles per hour. What do you need for spring gardening? Monday sees a quick warm-up from the upper 40s to the mid 70s. We will see increased cloud cover roll in by the evening, with a scattered shower or two passing overnight. Tuesday morning starts off mostly dry with scattered showers in our southern counties. In the early afternoon, a warm front will reach our region. Shortly after, a cold front will follow. This will bring showers and some rumbles of thunder. Temperatures will rise gradually from the mid 50s to the low 70s. We will see a half inch of rain by midnight. On top of recent rainfall, this will yield raised water in some spots in our region. Wednesday morning sees a brief break in the rain, before it continues in the afternoon. Expect another half inch of rain, further increasing the rise in water levels. Moisture and rainfall overnight will keep lows in the upper 50s, and highs will reach the upper 60s. Thursday will be much cooler than we've seen in a while. Lows will be in the upper 40s, and highs will be in the mid 50s. This is due to colder air rushing in behind the aforementioned cold front. We will see our skies begin the clear out. Friday sees lows in the mid 40s and highs in the mid 60s. Scattered instances of light rain will be present in the evening, but must of us will stay dry. We will have clear, sunny skies making it a great day for outdoor chores or activities! Sunday, we will continue to warm up. Temperatures will rise from the low 50s to the low 70s.
