Jesse Metcalfe Reacts to Scheana Shay's Memoir, ‘My Good Side'
Another day means there's another revelation from Scheana Shay's new memoir, My Good Side, that's due for a debrief. The Vanderpump Rules alum got candid about her string of famous exes in the book, from John Mayer and Adrian Grenier to Jesse McCartney and Jesse Metcalfe—and the John Tucker Must Die actor has caught wind of her retelling of their romance. During an appearance on Tori Spelling's podcast, misSPELLING, Jesse reacted to Scheana's revelation in real time. 'I know. She spoke highly of me, which was nice,' he said during the July 16 episode. He admitted that he 'tried to keep' his past with Scheana from his current girlfriend, Helene Immel, who was listening in on the conversation. Though Jesse clarified he dated Scheana 'a long time ago, 20 years ago,' he confirmed that her recollection was true. 'We were dating. I mean, overall, it was pretty brief, but we were seeing each other on a regular basis,' he shared, revealing they had 'met through a mutual friend who happened to be her boss.' 'So her boss and I went to the same gym. And he had mentioned that she thought I was handsome, and we ended up going out, and the rest is history,' Jesse confirmed. On July 23, Jesse sat down for another interview with Page Six Radio, the day after Scheana had visited the outlet to promote her memoir. When the hosts told him she talked about the 'Hollywood hunks' she explored romantic connections with, Jesse cheekily replied, 'She did alright, didn't she?' 'I mean, this was almost 15 years ago, maybe even close to 20 years ago. So, hopefully, that's not the most relevant thing about me, that I dated Scheana Shay 20 years ago,' he added in response to the 'nicest things' she said about their fling. 'But I have fond memories of that time. She's a great girl, I'm really proud of her and happy for her success.' In My Good Side, Scheana revealed that she and Jesse—who she described as 'the sexy gardener from Desperate Housewives'—dated after he got out of rehab for 'alcohol issues' in March 2007. 'I recall thinking what a dream it would be to date him — which I did, beginning in early 2007. Jesse was an awesome guy,' she wrote. The 'Good as Gold' singer also detailed their first outing after his rehabilitation, where she refrained from drinking alcohol around him in solidarity with his newfound sobriety. 'The first date he took me on post-rehab was the Cloverfield red carpet movie premiere. I then spent my twenty-second birthday at dinner with him, and I vividly remember sticking to water and Red Bull all night as a way of supporting his sobriety,' she shared. 'We would order in dinner with his parents at his house, and — when we were alone — he would play the guitar and serenade me with songs like 'Hey There Delilah,'' Scheana dished. 'It felt like I was living a real-life fantasy with this guy I'd watched on TV and in movies for years.' All in all, she said that they 'had a great time together' thanks to his romantic gestures.

Gypsy-Rose Blanchard reveals plans for IVF after daughter tests negative to rare genetic condition
Gypsy-Rose Blanchard is sharing her reasons for choosing IVF as she and boyfriend Ken Urker plan for their next child. The 33-year-old, who welcomed daughter Aurora earlier this year, opened up about her family plans on Tori Spelling's podcast misSPELLING. 'I do, I do. But we will have to use IVF for our next one because the one medical condition that I actually do have, it's called microdeletion 1Q21.1,' Blanchard explains. 'So it's just a long word for I'm missing a small piece in each of my first chromosomes.' 'That is something that could potentially be passed down to every child that I have. Every child that I have has a fifty-fifty shot of having it,' Blanchard says. 'Aurora has been tested and she came back negative, thank God. So it was not passed to her. But as a preventative measure, we will go through IVF for our next one.' Spelling then asked Blanchard if she wants a boy now that she has her daughter. 'We do want a boy. One boy and one girl,' Blanchard says. 'Probably just two. I say that now. You never know what the future holds, but just two for now on the horizon.' According to the National Institute of Health in the US, Microdeletion 1Q21.1 is a chromosomal change that can increase the risk of delayed development, intellectual disability, physical abnormalities, and neurological and psychiatric problems. Back in April, Blanchard announced on Instagram that Aurora tested negative for the condition, writing, 'Great news about Aurora! We're overjoyed to share that our sweet girl, Aurora, has tested negative for the rare condition known as microdeletion 1q21.1. This result brings us such immense relief and gratitude. Thank you to everyone who's kept us in your thoughts — your support has meant the world.' In a statement to People Magazine at the time, Blanchard shared, 'I was so relieved to learn that my daughter didn't inherit my condition. I was tested in 2012 and was positive, and again last year in October and again came back positive. There was a 50-50 chance that she could have inherited it, so we got her tested and she came back negative; therefore, herself and her future children won't have to worry about getting the condition that I have. It stops with me.' 'We are so relieved to know that she is healthy and is meeting all of her developmental milestones perfectly,' the proud mum added.
