Married At First Sight star reveals harsh reality of having two babies 'back to back': 'My body is falling apart'

has posted a frank health update after welcoming her second child with husband Alex Vega. The 34-year-old former Married at First Sight bride shared a video on Saturday in which she revealed that she felt as if 'her body was coming apart 'after having two children 'back-to-back'. Lizzie, who has a 18-month-old daughter, welcomed her second child, a baby boy, in April. Her postnatal health issues include a 'bad back, bad neck', anal fissures and haemorrhoids. She appeared in the Instagram video wearing a bathrobe and began the lengthy clip by telling her followers that she believed in 'loving yourself'. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'But I am feeling as if I'm falling apart physically I tell you,' she explained and added that he neck and back were 'a mess'. She continued: 'After carrying two big babies back to back I feel as if my arse**** is a mess. I'm talking fissures and haemorrhoids.' Lizzie added she had a message for women who endured similar health issues after giving birth. 'Don't act like you don't know if you've carried big babies before,' she said. 'Don't act like you don't know. Or if its not like a thing. Um yeah.' According to the Babycenter site, anal fissures - small tears in the anal passage - in postpartum women are common. Still, Lizzie appeared to have a sense of humour about her condition. She joked on her post that the auto captions on her video had translated 'fissure' into 'fishes'. 'Loving the time with my babies but I could do without the feeling as if my body is going to fall apart,' she added. 'And yes I eat enough fibre thank you very much.' The former reality TV star is happily married to her engineer husband Alex Vega (pictured), and is mum to an 18-month-old baby girl and a newborn baby boy who was born in April Followers messaged Lizzie with words of support. 'Oh my gosh love this honesty, love how real u are!!' gushed one fan. 'Yup our bodies take a beating,' agreed another follower. 'Welcome to the haemorrhoid club! My last baby was 6 yrs ago and I've still got them!!!!!,' messaged a third user. Elsewhere in Lizzie's post she referred to another health issue she experienced later her pregnancy. In February Lizzie shared gruesome photos that showed that her right eye was swollen shut. After first believing the problem was conjunctivitis, Lizzie said she was alarmed to learn from doctors her eyelid was infected by cold sores. On Saturday, she said that was not sure that her eyelid had healed properly. 'It probably did but I feel as if there's something in there. Something grainy. I just want to rip it out,' she said in her update. Lizzie was famously fat-shamed by her first Married At First Sight groom Sam Ball on season 2019 of the show. She and Seb Guilhaus hit it off immediately during her second showing on MAFS in 2020, and stayed together after the show, before parting ways in 2021. The former reality TV star is now happily married to her engineer husband Alex.

I had my first baby at 48 — haters say I'm selfish but older moms do it better

Don't mess with this mama. A new mom has hit back at claims she's 'selfish' for having her first child at 48 – saying her age and wisdom make her better equipped to raise a baby. Rene Byrd welcomed her baby boy, Crue, late last year after trying to get pregnant for almost a decade. 'In my heart, I always longed to hold a baby that was mine,' she emotionally told Jam Press. 'I'm more financially stable, more patient, and I've lived a full life.' 'I feel more in control, more confident,' the new mom continued. 'I've spent years around friends' kids, reading, learning. I'm in a completely different headspace.' Byrday says she always dreamed of becoming a mom, but life didn't exactly go to plan. She met her now-husband, 42-year-old American attorney Demetrious, by chance in a London bar, when she was in her late thirties. Aware of Byrd's biological clock, the pair started trying for a baby in 2017. At the time, Byrd was 40. 'We tried to conceive naturally, but my age was always a factor,' the singer-songwriter stated. 'The panic starts to set in – you realise time is slipping away.' 'It was getting me down,' she continued. 'I knew my window was closing.' Byrd and her beau eventually decided to to undergo IVF – a rough journey that cost her over $25,000. However, early last year, the Londoner learned she was finally pregnant. Her overwhelming joy was quickly dulled by detractors who told her she was too old to become a parent. 'People have told me it's selfish,' Byrd explained. 'They say it jokingly, but you know they're not joking. It can make you feel guilty, but I just want to be the best mom I can be.' Since welcoming Crue into the world last November, Byrd says she's even lost several friends due to their outrage over her having a baby at an advanced age. 'Some relationships dissolved,' the musician admitted. Despite that heartache, and the long road to motherhood, Byrd says she wouldn't change a thing. 'You do get that twinge of guilt when you think about being older, but it's nobody's business,' she declared. 'You have to live your own life in your own time.'
