Sabrina Carpenter earns 13 new RIAA certifications as hits like "Please Please Please" and "Taste" ... More soar, and she matches her own biggest song. NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MAY 05: Sabrina Carpenter attends the 2025 Met Gala Celebrating "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style" at Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 05, 2025 in New York City. (Photo by) Americans have been listening to a lot of Sabrina Carpenter lately. The pop superstar finally broke into the top 40 world a little over a year ago, thanks to her album Short n' Sweet and the singles featured on it, such as "Espresso," "Taste," and "Please Please Please," among others. Carpenter had been making music for many years prior, but had to wait quite a while before she became a certified hitmaker. The Grammy winner recently earned multiple new certifications from the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America), as many of her biggest songs scored new honors or snagged certifications for the very first time. 13 New Certifications for Sabrina Carpenter 13 of Carpenter's songs collected some love from the RIAA in late June. Seven of those tracks hit gold status, the lowest possible tier, which means they secured their first certifications. That roundup includes a mix of older tracks as well as some of her newer offerings, such as "Looking at Me," "Can't Blame a Girl for Trying," "Eyes Wide Open," "Don't Smile," "Dumb and Poetic," "Slim Pickins," and "Busy Woman," the focus track from the deluxe edition of Short n' Sweet. 'Bed Chem' Becomes a Multi-Platinum Smash Several of Carpenter's biggest tunes from Short n' Sweet advanced again to multi-platinum status. "Bed Chem" pushed from platinum to double platinum, while "Taste" inched one rung higher and is now a triple platinum smash. Fellow tracks "Sue Me," "Good Graces," and "Juno" became platinum successes for the first time. "Please Please Please" Ties 'Espresso' "Please Please Please," one of Carpenter's biggest singles so far, is now a five-times platinum blockbuster. Since it was certified triple platinum in December of last year, it has racked up another two million additional equivalent units, with that sum spread out between pure purchases and streaming activity. "Please Please Please" is now tied with "Espresso," both from Short n' Sweet, as Carpenter's highest-certified tracks. "Espresso" hasn't added to its total since December 2024, so the RIAA could increase its sum again soon.
