Etihad Rail chairman pens heartfelt tribute to Sheikh Mohammed after train ride
After Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's recent journey aboard the Etihad Rail passenger train from Dubai to Fujairah, Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan penned a heartfelt message praising the Dubai Ruler's hands-on leadership and dedication to national progress.
Sheikh Theyab — who serves as Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development Affairs and Martyrs' Families, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Etihad Rail, described the visit as a major morale boost for everyone involved in the ambitious project.
In a message filled with admiration and respect, Sheikh Theyab referred to Sheikh Mohammed as a father figure whose constant involvement in the country's development efforts continues to inspire government teams across the Emirates.
'You've redefined the standards of government work in the UAE,' he wrote. 'You've worked tirelessly, day and night, to place our nation at the top ranks globally, only to humbly credit the various teams behind the success."
He said Sheikh Mohammed's presence aboard the train wasn't just symbolic — it was a gesture that left a lasting impression on the thousands of workers involved.
'You lifted spirits and showed appreciation to everyone involved,' Sheikh Theyab said, adding, 'We hope to always meet your expectations and continue working on national projects in a way that pleases our leadership and fulfills their aspirations for the people of our beloved UAE."
He went on to say that he was personally delighted by the visit, but not surprised. 'You've always led by example,' he said. 'You (pay attention) to every detail — large or small — in our country's development journey."
