Chris Brown released on bail and can resume world tour

US singer Chris Brown was granted £5 million bail by a court over an alleged bottle attack at a London nightclub two years ago. Brown, 36, has been charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm in what prosecutors described as an "unprovoked attack" on music producer Abraham Diaw with a tequila bottle in a London nightclub in 2023. The R&B singer has not yet been asked to enter a plea to the charge. He was not present at Southwark Crown Court when Judge Tony Baumgartner granted him bail. After being granted bail, the American musician can continue with his scheduled international tour this year, including in the UK in June and July, as part of his bail conditions. The Go Crazy singer must pay a £5 million security fee to the court, which is a financial guarantee to ensure a defendant returns to court and may be forfeited if they breach bail conditions. The tour will also see Brown travel to parts of Europe, the United States and Canada. He must surrender his passport if he is not travelling, Judge Baumgartner said. Brown must live at a specific address known to the court but is not allowed to visit the nightclub and he cannot contact Mr Diaw or apply for international travel documents. The singer must pay a £4 million security fee to secure his release from prison on Wednesday, and put forward a further £1 million security within a week, the court heard. He will next appear with his co-defendant, US national Omololu Akinlolu, 38, at the same court on June 20. Brown and Akinlolu have both been charged relating to the assault which allegedly took place at the Tape venue in Hanover Square in Mayfair on February 19 2023. Manchester Magistrates' Court heard last week that Mr Diaw was standing at the bar of the Tape nightclub when he was struck several times with a bottle, and was then pursued to a separate area of the nightclub where he was punched and kicked repeatedly. Brown was arrested at Manchester's Lowry Hotel at 2am on Thursday by detectives from the Metropolitan Police. He is said to have flown into Manchester Airport on a private jet last week in preparation for the UK tour dates. A case management hearing has been set for October 24.

R&B star Chris Brown released on bail after being arrested at 5-star Manchester hotel over ‘nightclub bottle attack'

R&B star Chris Brown has been bailed after being arrested over an alleged nightclub bottle attack. The American R&B singer was charged with grievous bodily harm with intent after being arrested at a 5-star hotel in Manchester last week. 5 5 Brown allegedly assaulted a man at a London nightclub in February 2023. The star appeared at Southwark Crown Court today and was released on bail. Brown was initially detained by Met Police Detectives just after 2am at The Lowry Hotel in Manchester after flying into the city on a private jet a week ago. He was held on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm to music producer Abe Diaw at Tape nightclub in Mayfair, Central London, in February 2023. Brown was charged last Thursday. The 36-year-old appeared at Manchester Magistrates Court on Friday charged with one count of grievous bodily harm. The court heard how Brown allegedly struck Diaw 'several times' with a bottle before chasing him across the bar then punching and kicking him alongside another person. The alleged attack was captured on CCTV in a club 'full of people', it was said. District Judge Joanne Hirst said the case was 'too serious' to be dealt with in her court. The Met said in a previous statement: ''A 36-year-old man was arrested at a hotel in Manchester shortly after 02:00hrs on Thursday, 15 May on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. ''He has been taken into custody where he remains. "The arrest relates to an incident at a venue in Hanover Square on 19 February 2023. ''The investigation is being led by detectives from the Central West Area Basic Command Unit.'' The two-time Grammy winner was set to kick off his 20-year anniversary tour next month. This includes two nights at the Co-Op Live stadium in Manchester before performances in Cardiff, London, Birmingham and Glasgow in June. But it has now been thrown into doubt. The Sun's Brand and Culture expert, Nick Ede, has suggested the incident casts doubt over the R&B superstar's upcoming tour. He said: "The incident happened in 2023 but with this new publicity overshadowing his tour, his team may feel that they have to cancel. "This would be a massive blow for his fans and also to Brown himself. "The gigs he is playing are some of his biggest ever including the Tottenham Hotspur stadium for two nights to over 62,000 people each night." Chris Brown's Breezy Bowl XX Tour Chris Brown announced his 20-year-anniversary tour in March 2025. The tour is set to kick off on June 8 in Amsterdam, before he travelled over to the UK. Brown then chased Diaw and punched and kicked him in an attack caught on surveillance camera in front of a club full of people, she said. Brit wanted after knife rampage in Thai bar that left French tourist stabbed

This is the shocking moment Love Island star Amber Gill's ex-boyfriend allegedly stabs a tourist in a frenzied nightclub attack. Ex-con Rory Colhoun, 33, is being hunted along with two other Brit companions and three women following the brawl in Phuket Thailand, The Sun reports. The horrific footage shows a trio of holiday-makers, reportedly including Colhoun, beating a French tourist on May 11. Colhoun is seen repeatedly throwing punches at the backpacker in the Nomad Beach Club – while his friend pins down the target on the floor. A woman is seen dragging a man alleged to be Colhoun away to stop his barrage of hits, before he comes back to stamp the target on the head. A brave security guard then appears to intervene. Cops arrived after receiving a report at 4am local time – but the Brits had already escaped by then. They found the victim lying on the ground bleeding from a stab wound on the left side of his torso. He was given first aid and rushed to the Thalaong Hospital. He is now in stable condition. Police have launched a hunt for Colhoun, 33, from Leeds, along with Emilio Armani Bozzo, 34, and Rayon Stanley Joseph Hamilton Craig, 28. They are also searching for three women. Cops warned that an Interpol red notice would be issued, and confirmed that the men in the video had been identified. They alleged that Colhoun was the man who stabbed the victim, while Craig pinned the victim down. Bozzo was accused attacking the tourist with a chair. Superintendent of Choeng Thale Police Station Ekkarat Plaiduang said the trio were drunk when they picked a fight with the younger holiday-maker. They allegedly started scuffling inside the bar area, before the brawl erupted in the garden. Colhoun is alleged to have produced a knife at this point, which he used to stab the victim. The superintendent said: 'On May 13, our investigation team reviewed CCTV footage and a bystander's video which clearly captured the suspects' physical features.' He added that one of the men 'dropped a black iPhone containing a DTAC SIM card registered to Mr Emilio Armani Bozzo' when the group were running away. They also said that witnesses 'later confirmed he was one of the three suspects'. According to the Phuket Immigration Office, Colhoun had already flown to Bali later the same day with the other two Brits. Police said they were collecting evidence to request an arrest warrant for the men in Indonesia. Plaiduang added: 'This was a very violent attack. A knife was involved, which makes it much more serious. The man in the video stabbing the victim, we believe from the investigations, to be Rory Billy Colhoun.' 'The person on top of him is Rayon Stanley Joseph Hamilton Craig and the third man involved is Emilio Armani Bozzo.' Colhoun had previously been in a relationship with reality TV star Amber Gill, who won the fifth series of Love Island in 2019. The pair reportedly rekindled their relationship in 2022, following the collapse of their first relationship. The reality star, 27, was pictured enjoying dinner in Dubai with Colhoun, who was jailed for a vicious nightclub attack in 2015. Gill has since presented the ITV series The Full Treatment, and competed on the Channel 4 survival series Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins. She had dated Jack Grealish before they separated last year. She also visited Bali in February this year.
