This Morning's Alison Hammond recoils in horror as Ashley James shows off her head lice in middle of show - swiping 'no one wants to hug you!'
This Morning's Alison Hammond was left in horror after Ashley James showed off her head lice in the middle of Thursday's instalment of the ITV show.
Ashley, 38, appeared on the programme alongside Nick Ferrari, 66, to chat to hosts Alison, 50, and co-presenter Dermot O'Leary, 52, about the latest newsworthy headlines.
Alison asked: 'Would you admit to having nits? That's what somebody around this table did... Who is it? Is it you Ashley?'
Ashley replied: 'That's why I'm sat by myself.
'I was banned from the hair and make-up room today! I'm not allowed anywhere near.'
A shocked Dermot asked: 'You don't still have them do you?!'
And Ashley replied: 'No!'
Alison and Dermot pulled a funny face and moved their chairs further away from their co-star, who was across the table.
Ashley continued: 'But I had them on Sunday. Guys I've done three treatments!'
Alison told her: 'We believe that you're alright...
'When you showed that nit, the insect on your social, that was the moment Alison Hammond turned off her camera, I actually saw it and it made me gag.
'Why on Earth did you post this?!'
'I think it's a reality!' Ashley explained.
The star said that she grew up always having nits and it was her first time as a mum.
Ashley said: 'People often come to hug you, even though I think I don't have them anymore, I have been meticulous with my nit comb.
'I've done treatments on my kids, I've bought this preventative spray for them.
'I don't want to hug people, even if there is the smallest chance.'
Alison brutally told her: 'No one wants to hug you either, not at the minute!'
'Don't I know!' Ashley replied. 'I've had no hugs for a week.'
Giggling to Dermot, Alison said: 'We've moved away! What are we doing?!'
Earlier on in the episode a funfair-goer had no idea that taking a free ticket off someone for a ride was going to result in him being rushed to hospital with multiple serious injuries.
Gardener Nick Field broke every bone in his face and had a metal bar driven through his stomach when a funfair ride malfunctioned while he was on it.
The This Morning guest and his partner Alison Collins appeared on Thursday's episode of the ITV show open up about the terrifying ordeal that happened when they went on the The Froggit at the Lambeth Country Show in Brockwell Park last year.
The pair, who were at the fair with Alison's sister and her 12-year-old niece, were waiting for her niece's friends to finish the ride, when a man offered three tickets to go on because he had to rush off.
They decided to take up the offer and luckily their niece declined because she was waiting for her pals - which meant that she managed to escape some serious injuries.
Host Alison pointed out: 'The ride malfunctioned, we don't really know what happened, but it malfunctioned. It was quite disastrous actually.
'Nick... you broke every bone in your face.'
Nick replied: 'Yes, that's right.' To which Alison added that he had also neck and head injury too and Nick continued: 'Yes, I broke a couple of ribs and the metal arm went through my stomach muscle.'
