Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley earn spots
After helping lead the Cavaliers to a 64-win season and the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference, Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley were both further recognized as two of the league's best.
Mitchell was named to the All-NBA First Team and Mobley secured a spot on the All-NBA Second Team, as announced on TNT on Friday, May 23. It was Mitchell's first selection for the first team and Mobley's first for an All-NBA team of any kind.

Mitchell was joined on the All-NBA First Team by MVP winner Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, MVP runner-up Nikola Jokic, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jayson Tatum.
In doing so, Mitchell became the first Cavs player to be named to the All-NBA First Team since LeBron James in 2017-18 and the first non-James Cavalier to earn the honor since Mark Price in 1992-1993.
Mobley was joined on the second team by Jalen Brunson, Steph Curry, Anthony Edwards and James — his 21st consecutive season being named to an All-NBA team.
Mitchell and Mobley became the third pair of Cavs teammates to earn All-NBA honors in the same season, joining James and Kyrie Irving in 2014-15 and Price and Brad Daugherty in 1992-93.

The third team included Cade Cunningham, Tyrese Haliburton, James Harden, Karl-Anthony Towns and Jalen Williams.

Mitchell secured his sixth consecutive All-Star nod — third with the Cavs — and finished the 2024-25 season averaging 24.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists. on 44.3% shooting from the floor.
He placed fifth in MVP voting — one spot ahead of James — for the best finish of his career. He was sixth in MVP voting in 2022-23, when he was NBA All-Second Team.
Mitchell is now just the third player in franchise history with multiple All-NBA selections, joining James (10) and Price (four).

Mobley elevated himself into the top-20 conversation around the league by securing not only his first All-Star selection but winning NBA Defensive Player of the Year. He was also recently named a member of the All-NBA Defensive First Team.

He averaged 18.5 points, 9.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.6 blocks while shooting 55.7% from the floor. He also became more of a 3-point threat, which the Cavs emphasized all season.
The Cavs had talked about their belief that Mobley was a budding star in the league. In his age-23 season, he took major steps toward realizing that potential.
