Caleb Williams doesn't hold back on Packers fans: ‘They suck'
Caleb Williams has only collected one year's worth of NFL experience, but the Bears quarterback has already embraced the franchise's rivalry with the Packers — and the fan base's hatred toward Green Bay. During an appearance at Fanatics Fest on Friday, Williams was asked about negative experiences with fans and mentioned Green Bay before delivering a line that prompted some cheers from the audience. 'I mean, they suck,' Williams said. Advertisement 3 Caleb Williams is pictured at Fanatics Fest on June 20. Getty Images Williams, whom the Bears drafted with the top pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, won his lone game in front of Packers fans at Lambeau Field during his rookie season, completing 21 of 29 passes for 148 yards and a touchdown during Chicago's 24-22 win. It snapped a 10-game losing streak for the Bears in 2024 and an 11-game losing streak in the rivalry, though they needed a game-winning field goal in the final seconds after Malik Willis — who took over after Jordan Love exited with an injury — sparked a comeback. Advertisement 'After the game … we tried to do the Lambeau Leap, tried to jump into the crowd where our fans were,' Williams said at Fanatics Fest. '[Packers fans] just started throwing everything at you, push you off. The Lambeau Leap, it's a real leap. It's not a little baby jump, you actually have to high jump, basically. And they're pushing you, pushing your face.' 3 Caleb Williams is pictured during the Bears' June 4 practice. AP Williams also led a 'Green Bay sucks' chant last June at Old Crow Smokehouse, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel — even though he grew up watching the Packers because of now-Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Advertisement This season, the Bears and Packers will meet at Lambeau Field in Week 14 before adding another chapter to the rivalry two weeks later at Soldier Field, with Williams perhaps adding another layer to those showdowns with his recent comment. 3 Caleb Williams throws a pass during the Bears' game against the Packers on Jan. 5. Getty Images Chicago hired Ben Johnson as its new head coach in the offseason, and the new-look Bears offense will attempt to help Williams find a consistent rhythm in his second campaign after struggling at times as a rookie — he threw for just 3,541 yards and 20 touchdowns while tossing six interceptions across 17 games. That led to Matt Eberflus being fired, and the Bears pivoted toward landing Johnson — the mastermind behind the Lions' offense — and setting him up with a scenario to work with Williams, their franchise quarterback.

'Bro got a tattoo of what he saw while tripping': Aaron Rodgers' tattoo resurfaces and fans go wild
N.J. / Kevin R. Wexler / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images You'd think fans would be used to Aaron Rodgers being mysterious and kinda out there. But one old tattoo photo of the now-Steelers QB just went viral all over again and folks online are acting like it's breaking news. From astrology symbols to cave jokes, this thing has the internet spiraling. No, Aaron Rodgers didn't just get that tattoo, it's from 2022 but fans think it's new So here's what actually happened: A tweet reignited chaos online when it said '#Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers got one of the craziest tattoos ever on his arm — his first tattoo ever.' — _MLFootball (@_MLFootball) The thing is that tattoo isn't new at all. Rodgers first showed it off in July 2022 when he was still with the Packers. He called it his first tattoo ever and credited renowned Hungarian artist Balazs Bercsényi for the incredibly detailed work. The piece includes: Two lions An all-seeing eye Ocean & planetary themes And astrological signs for himself and his godsons. Rodgers said every part of it has 'a deep and meaningful story,' but of course, he didn't give away what those stories were. Classic Rodgers. Fans are reacting like this thing just dropped, and the jokes are absolutely unhinged The tweet went viral fast in hours and the comments? Absolutely elite internet energy. 'Bro got a tattoo of what he saw while tripping sack.' Another one commented, 'Dude got his back blown out in the cave and ain't been right since.' Some fans defended it, saying it's well done and meaningful while others just straight up roasted the cryptic design. Yep, the viral one is just the first. Rodgers later got a dragon-themed tattoo in 2023, right after his trade to the Jets. That one flew more under the radar, possibly because it didn't go full Ancient Astronaut vibes like this one did. Rodgers has always leaned into mystery, and his tattoos are no exception. Whether you see it as high art, high strangeness, or just a midlife crisis inked in black and grey, it's very on brand for him. And now that he's rocking a Steelers jersey? Expect even more 'WTF' moments to come. Also read - Rookie QB Shedeur Sanders caught speeding at 101 mph, faces fine or court date Game On Season 1 kicks off with Sakshi Malik's inspiring story. Will Howard ready to embrace life with Aaron Rodgers — if he signs with Steelers
Will Howard is fine living in Mr. Rodgers' neighborhood. Aaron Rodgers remains in a free-agent flirtation with the Steelers, who are proceeding through OTAs with veteran journeyman Mason Rudolph, the rookie sixth-round pick Howard and newcomer Skylar Thompson taking all the snaps. If Rodgers signs with the Steelers — as he is hinting could happen — then any competition to start is over, and Howard will spend his rookie year on the bench. 3 Pittsburgh Steelers sixth-round draft pick, quarterback Will Howard (18), participates in the team's NFL rookie camp football practice in Pittsburgh, Saturday, May 10, 2025. AP 'I don't know what's going to happen,' Howard told FanDuel TV's Kay Adams in his first comment on Rodgers. 'That's all over my head. But I'd love to be in a room and learn from him. Again, who knows what's going to happen.' That's a smart approach by Howard. 3 New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers (8) throws a pass during the second half when the New York Jets played the Denver Broncos on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ. Robert Sabo for NY Post Sure, he just led Ohio State to the national championship and saved his best for the four-game playoff run, but Rodgers is more amenable to passing along knowledge than his mentor Brett Favre was. Look at Jordan Love's successful first two seasons starting for the Packers, after spending three on the bench behind Rodgers. Whether or not Rodgers comes to Pittsburgh, Howard already has attached himself to a future Hall of Famer. 3 Pittsburgh Steelers sixth-round draft pick, quarterback Will Howard, right, participates in the NFL football team's rookie camp in Pittsburgh, Saturday, May 10, 2025. AP Ben Roethlisberger, who quarterbacked the Steelers to two Super Bowl wins in 18 seasons but lost one head-to-head Super Bowl to Rodgers, and Howard have begun a friendship. 'They need like a gritty guy,' Howard said of Steelers fans. 'Growing up for me, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and Big Ben, Big Ben was that guy. He was Pittsburgh. He was the Steel City, the blue collar and gritty guy. And I want to be that, too. I want to bring that edge and that energy. I think I did a pretty good job of it at Ohio State, and I kind of like to pride myself on that. And I'm going to try and bring it to the Steel City.' Way back when, Howard lost a competition to start for Kansas State in 2021 to his now-Steelers teammate Thompson. But he has come a long way since then, including two years starting at Kansas State before Ohio State.
