Glasgow City Council has provided an update on feared nursery closures due to Storm Floris.
The Met Office has issued an amber weather warning for high winds across much of Scotland as winds are expected to hit nearly 90mph.
A danger to life warning has been issued and there is major travel disruption as train services across the country are cancelled.
Power cuts and property damage are also anticipated.
There were fears that nurseries in and around the city may be forced to close.
