BOHO GROUP: How Two Cousins Built Dubai's Fastest-Growing Women-Led Conglomerate in Just 10 Months
VMPL New Delhi [India], June 17: In the heart of Dubai's dynamic business landscape, a remarkable story of passion, ambition, and legacy is unfolding. Meet Sucheta Sharma and Urvashi Lakhanpal--two visionary cousin sisters who, under the esteemed guidance of the Private Office of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Ahmed Al Maktoum, co-founded BOHO GROUP in September 2024. What began as a dream to make a meaningful mark in Dubai's vibrant market has rapidly evolved into a powerhouse enterprise, boasting four successful ventures, two Guinness World Records, and a clear roadmap for dynamic future expansion. The Spark: Beauty with a Purpose The journey commenced with Meraki Ladies Beauty Lounge, strategically located in Karama, offering a luxurious self-care sanctuary for women. With a focus on quality, ambiance, and empowerment, the lounge quickly gained popularity among Dubai's diverse female clientele. This venture wasn't just about beauty--it was about creating a space that radiates confidence, comfort, and care. Breaking Stereotypes with Boho Vibes Following Meraki's success, the sisters launched Boho Cafe in Dubai's premium commercial district, DIFC. Designed with an eclectic, free-spirited aesthetic, Boho Cafe quickly became a lifestyle destination. More than just coffee and conversation, it made international headlines by entering the Guinness Book of World Records for serving the world's most expensive Karak tea--an exquisite cup infused with 23k pure edible gold imported from Europe, DHA & DM approved, priced at AED 5,000. In contrast, the cafe also serves the cheapest Karak tea in DIFC at just AED 1.5, reflecting their mission: "To serve both the rich and the poor under one roof, without compromising on food quality, standards, or quantity." Elevating the Dining Experience The third venture, Jimmydixs Restaurant and Lounge, located inside Barcelo Hotel, Al Jaddaf, blends international culinary excellence with a vibrant nightlife atmosphere. Jimmydixs shattered records by serving the world's costliest mocktail, priced at AED 11,549, earning the group its second Guinness World Record. At the same time, Jimmydixs remains accessible, offering some of the lowest-priced drinks in Dubai, complete with live bands, DJs, comedy nights, karaoke, and a wide range of shisha, including herbal options. Each of these milestones wasn't just about profit--it was about storytelling. Every brand under BOHO GROUP tells a tale of tradition, luxury, innovation, and culture, perfectly curated for Dubai's cosmopolitan audience. The Latest Gem: Annas & Bhaijan Idli Restaurant On June 16, 2025, BOHO GROUP launched its fourth venture, Annas & Bhaijan Idli Restaurant, located in DIP 2. The inauguration ceremony was graced by Chief guest MR. IQBAL HABTOOR and other notable VIPs, with blessings from His Excellency Ahmed Al Jarari, CEO of the Private Office of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Ahmed Al Maktoum. The restaurant offers an inclusive menu featuring authentic South Indian, Pakistani, and Chinese cuisine, celebrating cross-cultural flavors. A highlight is the affordable monthly tiffin (mess) service, specially curated for working professionals and families. Customers can opt for either a South Indian or Pakistani mess, all prepared under strict food safety and hygiene standards--without compromising on taste. Growth with a Mission "Dubai is the land of opportunities, and we sisters are here to explore and expand in the best possible way," said Sucheta Sharma, co-founder of BOHO GROUP. With four ventures already launched in just 10 months, the sisters are now gearing up for the next phase of growth. The 2026 roadmap includes:- - Two new branches of Meraki Ladies Beauty Lounge in Dubai - Three more outlets of Boho Cafe to broaden its lifestyle footprint - The launch of FOOD BANK in Jebel Ali by December 2025, aiming to focus on community-based food distribution and sustainability, offering Dubai's most affordable meal service Future Frontiers: Healthcare and Retail BOHO GROUP is also diversifying into healthcare, with the upcoming Aaryan Clinic and Pharmacy, which will offer premium services in General Medicine, Dentistry, Orthopedics, and Gynecology. Sucheta, who has also featured as a model and actor in over 12 Bollywood, Punjabi, and Haryanvi music videos, remarked: "We are in the process of acquiring a clinic where people can receive world-class healthcare in a compassionate environment." On the retail front, the group plans to launch Urvashi Mini Mart by February 2026, offering a curated selection of FMCG products at affordable prices, catering to both residential and commercial zones across Dubai. A Vision Beyond Business What makes the BOHO GROUP truly special is not just its record-breaking speed, but the legacy-building mindset behind each venture. In a competitive city like Dubai, the group's commitment to storytelling, community relevance, service quality, and global branding has earned it a unique identity. Sucheta and Urvashi are not just building businesses--they are shaping brands that resonate with Dubai's multicultural, progressive audience, combining luxury with purpose and tradition with modernity. Founder's Statement When asked about her vision, Sucheta Sharma stated: "My vision is deeply inspired by the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Crown Prince His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum. Under their leadership, Dubai has become a global hub for innovation and growth. I want BOHO Group to be a key contributor to that dynamic journey." She added: "This is more than business for me--it's a legacy built on excellence, integrity, and passion. I want to inspire young women to believe that with hard work, vision, and determination, anything is possible." Final Thoughts BOHO GROUP is a powerful example of what women-led entrepreneurship can achieve when paired with a clear vision, strategic planning, and relentless commitment. From luxury lounges and record-setting cafes to community kitchens, healthcare facilities, and retail ventures--the journey is just beginning. As they scale across Dubai's diverse sectors, one thing is certain: Sucheta Sharma and Urvashi Lakhanpal are not just creating ventures--they are building a legacy of dreams, innovation, and global inspiration.

Long Island go-kart ‘megatrack' smashes world record to snag title of largest course in the world
They're taking a victory lap. An indoor go-kart track earned a Guinness record as the largest course of its kind – as its spaghetti-like twists gave one NASCAR star a run for his money on Tuesday. RPM Raceway in Farmingdale officially celebrated its entry into the Guinness Book of World Records with 2023 Daytona 500 winner Ricky Stenhouse Jr. taking a solo lap on the massive 3,515.7 square-foot track. Advertisement 3 RPM Raceway in Farmingdale, Long Island, was officially named the largest go-kart track of its kind on the planet in the Guinness Book of World Records. Heather Khalifa for the NY Post 'I won a lot of races, done a lot of things, but this is a first for me,' Stenhouse told The Post. He said he sized up the track split between a labyrinth-like, intertwining upper and lower level on a walkthrough, but quickly realized there were 'a lot of corners' to weave in and out of at about 40 miles per hour. Advertisement '[The toughest part is] trying to figure out which corner you're in and where you're at, because when I walked it earlier, I thought I was back at the start — and I was not.' The so-called 'megatrack' Stenhouse took on is actually a combination of RPM's three raceways, which are all individually less than 1,500 feet. A multimillion-dollar revamp from November to April installed an elevated new level and configured the course to be interchangeable in six ways — including the world record racer's delight format. That course opened to the public on Mondays for $30. Advertisement 'One of my favorites is the banked corners up top,' Stenhouse said after notching a singular lap time of 1:39.8 — a smidge under his goal of 1:40. 3 The track is 3,515.7 square feet, as 2023 Daytona 500 winner Rickey Stenhouse Jr. rode a solo lap marking the historic occasion. Heather Khalifa for the NY Post 'At a couple of places, you come off the ground, which is really neat, and makes you feel like you're going pretty fast. So it was a lot of fun.' Guinness official adjudicator Andy Glass said the record is a new category — with the bare minimum to achieve the award set at 900 meters, or 2952.76 feet. Advertisement 'I've definitely certified over 100 records, anything from the fastest juggler to the most cookies baked in a marathon, to the tallest piñata,' Glass said. 'This is definitely one of the more thrilling ones, definitely one of the speediest ones.' Even Glass himself had to try the track, which had a soft opening on Long Island for a few weeks. The adjudicator participated in a second heat with some staff — some of whom beat the NASCAR driver's initial lap time by about a second or so. 3 Stenhouse told The Post, 'I won a lot of races, done a lot of things, but this is a first for me.' Heather Khalifa for the NY Post Full throttle The go-kart controls are manageable after a few seconds, with RPM's newly purchased fleet of carts handling and drifting well as wind-swept drivers take its many corners at death-defying speeds. It could be difficult to know what part of the track is upcoming, but that just adds to the thrill. Racers must be on their game the entire ride, ready to cut, drift, and fly down straightaway sections and downward ramps that evoke a roller coaster dipping. Advertisement Even dramatically spinning out or getting bumped by another car — as was the case when a Post reporter raced on the track Tuesday — appear to be more entertaining than dangerous. For more experienced drivers like Stenhouse, it's the perfect ride down memory lane. 'I grew up go-kart racing,' he said. 'And just about everybody in our NASCAR Cup Series grew up go-kart racing. So it's cool to come back to your roots.'

Stanford scientists work to create a high-definition movie of the cosmos
MENLO PARK, Calif. - It will be what is called "the greatest movie of the universe ever made." It is an ambitious project involving scientists at Stanford University which will map our changing cosmos every night for an entire decade. High in the mountains of Chile, what is known as the Vera C. Rubin observatory is currently under construction at an elevation of nearly 9,000 feet. Inside the observatory is a camera built at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory and shipped to the mountaintop from California. "It is the world's largest digital camera. We are actually in the Guinness Book of World Records," said Dr. Aaron Roodman, a professor of particle and astrophysics at SLAC and deputy director of the observatory, which is jointly run with the National Science Foundation. "People are going to use the images to study dark energy, dark matter, the expansion of the universe, how galaxies form, how the solar system formed," Dr. Roodman said. According to SLAC, each single image will be able to capture a slice of the sky about 45 times the size of the full moon. By scanning the sky every night for over a decade, the camera will be able to capture faint objects and objects that change in position or brightness. "Over 10 years, we expect to see every part of the Southern Hemisphere sky almost a thousand times," Dr. Roodman said. In the end, scientists hope to create an ultra-wide, ultra-high-definition time-lapse record of the changing cosmos. SLAC said in a news release that this is the "most comprehensive data-gathering mission in the history of astrophysics." The Rubin Observatory is expected to come online later in 2025.
