Moment reckless driver sparks street brawl after crashing her £106,000 BMW i8 into parked car on busy London street
This is the shocking moment a reckless driver is captured sparking a violent street brawl after crashing her £106,000 BMW i8 into a parked car on a busy London road. Dramatic footage of the scuffle showed an enraged women appearing to shout and then pull another individual by her hair in the street while a crowd of stunned onlookers watched on. The appalling bust-up is understood to have taken place in Camden, north London, on June 19. It is said to have began after a luxury BMW sports car ploughed into a parked vehicle before swerving right and then coming to an abrupt halt at the crossroads of Parkway and Albert St. Cem Ozmand, 30, who witnessed the incident, said that he believed the vicious row erupted after two women reportedly mocked the driver's skills, prompting the female passenger to storm out of the vehicle and confront the pair. Eventually, two other individuals stepped in, attempting to help break up the violence. Reflecting on the shocking ordeal which occurred just after 3pm, Mr Cem said: 'There were no injuries. Police came ten minutes later and questioned the driver and his partner.' The Metropolitan Police has been approached for comment. Dramatic footage of the scuffle showed an enraged women appearing to shout and then pull another individual by her hair in the street while a crowd of stunned onlookers watched on The incident is said to have began after a luxury BMW sports car ploughed into a parked vehicle before swerving right and then coming to an abrupt halt at the crossroads of Parkway and Albert St It comes amid a string of recent road rage incidents, including one where an enraged motorist was caught throwing punches at a recovery truck driver in a furious bust up at a roundabout in Southall, west London, in April. Shocking footage showed the moment the two men, who both got out of their vehicles at the busy crossing, began to argue. One of the men, dressed in an orange hi-viz jacket, is seen to jump backwards while the other motorist begins to swing wild punches at him. Angry drivers from the queue behind can then be heard honking their horns as the fight left them unable to move forward. Eventually another man intervenes and puts himself between the two men to calm the situation down, before guiding one of them back to his car. The worker also walks back to his vehicle, touching his face. In another damning incident of road range, a screaming woman was captured on video punching a driver's window and smashing the bonnet. The shocking footage shows a group of three females surrounding a Fiat 500 which was being driven by a teenage girl. The woman was seen storming over to the car before screaming and swearing at the driver while bashing the bonnet. Her friend tries to hold her back but she brushes her off and continues to rage on. She then walked over to the passenger side and tried to open the door but when she couldn't, punched the window instead. The woman then finally walks away with the two other individuals, back to a Ford Fiesta, which appears to be blocking the country road. But before getting back in the car she does not hesitate to scream once more and flipped the teen driver off. It is understood the teen driver had been tailgated by a male driver while following the speed limit, before he overtook her and stopped in the road. That is when the hysterical woman and her two friends jumped out of the car and the blonde went on her verbal rampage. The male drove the getaway car after the verbal attack and the teenager sought to get his number plate. The incident is said to have happened on April 10 in Mottingham, south-east London. It comes as a record number of Brits were killed in 2023 as a result of 'road rage' motorists. Government figures revealed that up to 143 people died in accidents that police said were triggered by aggressive driving. In total, there were 2,722 collisions where police said 'aggressive driving behaviour' was a contributing factor. They led to a total of 4,084 casualties. Aggressive driving is understood to encompass a number of behaviours such as speeding, tailgating, reckless or careless driving and road rage. While there is no specific law for road rage incidents in the UK, behaviour that takes place during a road rage incident can result in charges for particular offences that fall under the Public Order Act of 1986.

North Carolina paraglider triggers huge explosion after flying into live power lines above river
On a picturesque summer evening in North Dakota, a powered paraglider was flying through the air when disaster struck. With the sun in his eyes, he flew over a bridge above the Red River on the evening of July 8, only to strike the power lines hanging over the water. The collision triggered a massive explosion as the man and his equipment sank into the water. The identity of the paraglider has not yet been revealed. Dusty Howlett was on a walk with his brother around 8:30 pm when he captured the incident on video and later posted it to TikTok. In a recent upload, he said that he loved power paragliders and ultra-light aircrafts like this one, and often took notice when he saw them flying around. On their walk, the brothers saw the aircraft a few times, and finally got a wave from the pilot as he flew over the water in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Just seconds later he collided with the power line with an explosive crackle. As the pilot fell into the lake and Howlett watched in horror with a very mid-western: 'Woah! Oh no! Oh geez!' He, and other onlookers, immediately began yelling to the man in the water and Howlett called 911. He told the Grand Forks Herald, 'My first instinct was to jump in the river and try to go after him, but I can't swim, and everyone knows that even if you're a good swimmer, you don't want to jump in that river.' He said the Red River had a notoriously strong undercurrent, making it difficult to perform a successful amateur rescue. Fortunately, the body of the aircraft was light, and though it flipped upside down, it floated in the water. Soon, the man's head popped up and he gave a thumbs up to the crowd, signaling that he was okay. 'It's just a miracle that not only did he survive, but he was uninjured,' Howlett said. Howlett said emergency services arrived within just a few minutes and quickly helped the man out of the water. Local first responders do a few water rescues each summer, since the city is located next to the Red River, and thoroughly train for all manner of water-based emergencies. But Scott Nicola, battalion chief at the Grand Forks Fire Department, said 'this is going to probably be the first and last time' that his team performed a water rescue on a paraglider. First responders reported that the man's paraglider cords had gotten tangled around his foot and the accident could have been much worse. Had he hit his head or collided with the power lines with the body of the aircraft, the man could've drowned and died. Gliders are often temperamental to steer, as well, even if he'd spotted the powerline, he still may have been unable to avoid it. The local fire department advised that locals wishing to visit the Red River should use life jackets even when not directly in the water. Keeping flotation devices on hand while on the ground nearby or even above the water could prevent accidents like this one.

Shocking moment sunbathers erupt into huge brawl on Brit beach for the SECOND time in a week as punches thrown on sand
THIS is the moment a beach brawl broke out on a popular beach - just weeks after another dramatic fight. The fight reportedly broke out on Bournemouth Beach on Friday evening. 8 8 With temperatures reaching 30C, tensions were clearly high among beachgoers, as almost a dozen people were involved in the kerfuffle. The video appears to begin with two men fighting, as others crowd around them. After a man in green shorts lands a punch, he is quickly charged by a group of men. The sand proved to be more troublesome than the men had accounted for, making it difficult for them to land punches. Despite their attempts to appear tough, the uneven terrain quickly undermines their bravado, leaving the men struggling to maintain their footing. The green-shorted man then takes a tumble as a full-on fight breaks out. Others fall down around him as security attempt to break up the brawl. One man is being successfully detained by an onlooker as he desperately attempts to get free. As one man runs to land a punch he rather awkwardly misses and ends up landing on his backside. At one point a woman in a beach wrap gets involved and is quickly knocked down where she stays for a moment. Moment mass brawl erupts on UK beach as topless teens 'hurl glass at cops' The security guards manage to calm most of the men down, giving those on the floor time to recover. Meanwhile groups of onlookers have begun packing up their belongings. It comes following another mass brawl on the same beach several weeks ago. Video footage showed police clashing with shirtless youths - as they hurl glass at the cops. 8 8 The incident occurred on June 30 following a fight in the nearby Lower Gardens. It resulted in a teenage girl being injured and rushed to hospital. Five officers were injured in the brawl, though none of their injuries were serious. It led to the arrest of an 18-year-old man from Hackney on suspicion of assault, affray and assault by beating of an emergency worker. Dorset Police released CCTV footage of 12 youths connected to the incident as they asked for the public's help in identifying the trouble-makers. They said that they believed the men were visiting the beach for the day and were not locals. Following the incident, Chief Superintendent Heather Dixey said there would be a heightened police presence in the area. 8 8 8

Moment wheelchair user shocks witnesses by clinging to moving police van in 'Back To The Future'-style stunt
This is the shocking moment a wheelchair user was captured clinging onto the back of a police van in a 'Back To The Future'-style stunt. Stunned onlookers watched on as a person in a wheelchair appeared to be pulled along by the moving police vehicle for around 10 seconds before eventually letting go and casually waving to the officers. The alarming footage, shared to social media platform TikTok with the caption 'Welcome to Bolton', was recorded on Monday, July 7, on Bark Street, located in the heart of the Greater Manchester town. Zohib Hussain, who filmed the bizarre incident as he watched it unfold, was on his break at work when he first caught glimpse of the wheelchair user grabbing the back of the police van from his office window. Reflecting on the unique sight, the 28-year-old said: 'I was on my break and just looking out the office window, and I saw this guy in the wheelchair hang on to the police van. 'My initial thought was it was funny, but it was also dangerous at the same time, as a car from the other side could have turned in and hit him.' Social media users were quick to react to the unusual video, which has amassed more than 227,000 views, with one user commenting, 'This was a weird version of Back To The Future', while another jokingly quipped: 'That's one way of getting away with MOT, tax and insurance'. Other viewers praised the quick-thinking man for his attempt at 'trying to get a free ride', with one commenter remarking: 'That's when you know that buses have got too expensive'. Meanwhile, another added: 'Wait for the blue lights to come on and he's going like 60mph'. It comes after a group of eight youths were arrested as part of a police crackdown on a growing number of individuals found to be 'hanging on' to moving tram units. On Monday, June 2023, the youngsters had been allegedly caught riding on the 'coupling units' that connect trams in Manchester City Centre together, alongside on the back of buses. They were arrested by Greater Manchester Police's transport unit and detained on suspicion of public order offences. Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) have previously warned about a concerning nationwide increase in so-called 'tram surfing' and 'bus surfing' following viral social media videos. The organisation added that between January and May this year there have been 108 reported incidents - compared to 80 seen across the region's bus and Metrolink network across 2024. Daniel Vaughan, TfGM's chief network officer, said the force were 'aware of a worrying rise in reports' of 'mostly youths riding between trams and hanging off the back of buses with footage of these reckless incidents circulating on social media'. Mr Vaughan added: 'This incredibly dangerous behaviour could have catastrophic consequences, and these arrests demonstrate our zero-tolerance approach to crime and antisocial behaviour on public transport. 'Unfortunately, we have seen people die as a result of falling between trams having climbed onto an auto coupler, and we want to prevent this from happening again. 'We would urge parents and guardians to speak to their children about the dangers of participating in this kind of behaviour and for schools to highlight the danger to pupils. 'Anyone caught in engaging in dangerous activities are not only taking their own lives in their hands, but they will also face very real consequences when they are caught.'
