New twist in Conor Maynard and Charlotte Chilton paternity row as explosive new allegation is 'revealed'

A huge new development in the Conor Maynard and Charlotte Chilton paternity row has come to light, five months after the pop star claimed he was not the father of her daughter Penelope. In a new document, reportedly seen by The Sun, Charlotte claims an 'unidentified male was present' when Conor's DNA sample was collected. The mother-of-one also alleges Conor 'switched testing locations last minute' and that her own DNA was not taken. In a standard DNA paternity test, at least two people need to provide samples: the child and the alleged father. Including the mother's sample is generally recommended for increased accuracy of the test. Charlotte has allegedly now urged a court-ordered DNA test to confirm the parentage of the little girl, who was born in October. According to the publication, Conor's representatives have insisted he has already offered to do a second paternity test, but outside of court. A source said: 'Charlotte was blindsided when Conor released the paternity result claiming he wasn't Penny's dad. 'Charlotte consulted lawyers and despite suffering shocking abuse from online trolls, was advised to remain silent. She's now ready to fight for Conor to take another paternity test. 'She claims the previous one should be discounted because it was not conducted under the controlled conditions agreed. 'Charlotte just wants this whole sorry saga over with and for the truth to come out. Her number one priority has always been, and always will be, Penny.' According to the publication, Charlotte has hired Coleen Rooney's Wagatha Christie lawyer Paul Lunt to be on standby for potential legal threats. A spokesman for Conor Maynard told The Sun: 'It's baffling. Conor's already agreed to another paternity test, so there's no need to drag this through the courts. 'Once a new test has been done hopefully Charlotte can finally put this behind her once and for all'. Daily Mail has contacted Charlotte and Conor's representatives for comment. A subsequent DNA test confirmed in March that Conor was not the child's father. Conor appeared on This Morning in May to explain the toll the paternity scandal had on him after Charlotte went on to say she doubted the accuracy of the test. He said: 'I was instantly painted as a dead-beat dad. My comments on my social media were all about that.' Conor added: 'Mental health is something I have struggled with for a huge portion of my life. 'And this year has been up there with my battle with it.'

Vegas man shares heartbreaking story of trying to discover if brother is actually his son after accusing mom of abuse

A Las Vegas man's search for the truth about his family has returned inconclusive results. Logan Gifford, 26, believes his younger brother, 15, could be his son after claiming his mother Doreene Gifford began sexually assaulting him when he was 10. Doreene Gifford, was sentenced to eight to 20 years in jail after making an Alford plea, essentially a plea of no contest, on lesser charges, including attempted sex assault, 8 News Now reports. She has also registered as a sex offender and now lives in Massachusetts, according to the outlet. Earlier this year, Logan Glifford filed a paternity case asking for a judge to order an advanced DNA test to determine who the teenager's father is. That test was inconclusive, however. Logan Glifford said he and his father, Theodore, could both be the teenager's biological father, after their DNA both matched 99.9% to the sibling. At a Thursday hearing, family court Judge Vincent Ochoa said that the test results were unsurprising. 'I think we should have known that was going to come out that way from the very beginning,' Ochoa said, per the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The judge recommended further testing to ascertain who the teenager's father was. The judge awarded Logan Gifford temporary custody of his brother, as a temporary guardianship would have expired Thursday, according to the Review-Journal. Speaking to the Vegas outlet, Logan Gifford said that he would be praying over the issue, but pursuing further testing in order to get 'genetic clarity' for his brother. 'He's aware of what's going on and he understands why we're trying to get to the truth for him,' he said. 'Because this wasn't about me. This was about trying to get genetic answers for him.' A GoFundMe page set up by Logan Gifford to help him win custody and 'protect' his brother, who he currently lives with along with his wife and stepdaughter, has raised almost $2,000. In the page description, Logan Gifford describes the situation as 'a nightmare I never chose' and calls the idea of his brother being his son a 'haunting possibility.' 'The court process is tough, and with his cognitive struggles and our complicated family history, I need help to secure his future and give him the life he deserves,' Gifford wrote. He added that he was 'also speaking out for male survivors everywhere.' 'Growing up, I faced shame, disbelief, and a system that didn't see me—social services missed the signs and left me unprotected. Too many men suffer in silence, and I'm determined to change that,' he said. Despite the previous inconclusiveness, experts have said it is likely that further testing will provide answers for the Giffords. Arthur Beaudet, a past president of the American Society of Human Genetics, said such circumstances would require a higher level of investigation. 'This is a job not for the average lab that does paternity testing and disputes between individuals all the time,' he told the Review-Journal. 'This is a job for a top-notch expert in this area.'

DNA test anguish for man raped by his mom from age of 10 who now fears his brother is also his son

A Las Vegas man who fears that his younger brother is actually his son has been left distraught after a DNA test came back inconclusive. Logan Gifford made headlines a decade ago after he came forward with horrific allegations that his mother Doreene Gifford raped him since he was 10 years old. Just 16 at the time he came forward, Logan came to believe that his younger brother may actually be his biological son conceived around the end period of his years of abuse. Gifford, now 26, said he is proud to be the carer for his sibling, who is disabled, but told 8NewsNow that he is 'still directly involved in the mess that has been left for me.' Earlier this year, Logan filed a paternity case asking a judge to order an advanced DNA test to determine who is his brother's biological father. But this week, the results came back inconclusive as the tests showed Logan and his father both shared a 99.9% match to his sibling. The results showed the complexities of such testing involving parents and siblings as they both share the same DNA, and could not provide a conclusive answer to Logan's years-long anguish. A judge has since offered Logan the opportunity to pursue more advanced testing that may provide a more precise result. Logan made headlines a decade ago after he came forward with horrific allegations that his mother Doreene Gifford raped him since he was 10, which he fears may mean his brother is actually his biological son (pictured together) When Logan came forward with his shocking allegations against his mother in 2015, he testified against her in court that she began sexually assaulting him when he was 10. Doreene Gifford was charged with sexual assault of a minor and incest, but she maintained her innocence. She eventually took an Alford plea on lesser charges of attempted sexual assault, which means she did not admit guilt but conceded that prosecutors had enough evidence to convict her in court. She was sentenced to eight to 20 years in prison in 2015, and was paroled last year as she was forced to register as a sex offender. Doreene was briefly arrested again for a parole violation soon after but was released, and now lives in Massachusetts, per 8NewsNow. 'Sending her to prison was halfway vindicating, because I thought that the largest problem of my life was originally dealt with,' Logan said. But Logan said that his mother's incarceration left it up to him to care for his brother, who suffers from cognitive disabilities. 'He deserves to have a quiet, peaceful life,' Logan said. 'And he and I didn't ask for any of this.' Logan said that even if the further tests prove he is not the father, he is 'still filing for custody, because that doesn't change the obligation that I have to him now.' 'I really wound up having to make a lot of critical decisions at a very early age, because I was looking at the impact that it would have had on my siblings.' 'It is ugly and visceral, but it doesn't change the fact that it needed to be done.' Logan (pictured aged 10) said he struggled in his childhood because of the abuse, as he 'wound up having to make a lot of critical decisions at a very early age, because I was looking at the impact that it would have had on my siblings' When reported his mother's alleged abuse 10 years ago, Gifford then told a court that he had been exposed to drug use in his youth and detailed how his mother's abuse first started. He said that his mom brought him into a bedroom she shared with his father, Theodore, in which a pornographic video was playing, when she sexually assaulted him. After years of believing he was only the victim of abuse, Gifford said that it was a therapist who raised the idea with him that he could be the father of his brother. He recalled: 'I was 17 at the time. That threw me for a loop.' If it turns out that Gifford is the father, the ongoing court case will become a custody matter. If he is not the father it will still remain as a guardianship case. 'To sit here and say that my brother may be the product of my sexual assault is a very visceral thing to think about as a male survivor,' Gifford said. 'But he's here now. There's no going back and undoing anything. And he deserves to have a quality of life where he's comfortable, where he can be a kid.' Gifford has set up a GoFundMe to help cover the costs of the test and court action. 'I've filed a paternity petition to get answers, not just for me, but for him - he deserves the truth,' the fundraiser states.

Tigers' Tarik Skubal still on baby watch during Blue Jays start

The post Tigers' Tarik Skubal still on baby watch during Blue Jays start appeared first on ClutchPoints. The ice-cold Detroit Tigers desperately needed Tarik Skubal to heat them back up and lift them to a victory over the MLB-leading Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday. But they did not want to put their needs above his family's. The team was prepared to rush the 2024 Cy Young Award winner out of Comerica Park and to the hospital. His wife is still waiting to give birth to the couple's second child, leaving everyone in suspense, including the Blue Jays. Detroit placed Skubal on the paternity list, but he reached the mandatory limit and therefore had to return to the club. Nevertheless, the Tigers planned to accommodate the amazing left-handed starting pitcher. They could only live in the moment, though. 'As long as the phone stays silent, I expect it to be business as usual,' manager A.J. Hinch said before Saturday's game, per Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press. 'If we get a call, we'll make him come out of the game or out of his warmups or out of wherever. I don't even know if he'll be here postgame, depending on how it goes.' Tigers' Tarik Skubal does his job vs. Blue Jays Following an assist by Matt Vierling, Skubal was able to get through six scoreless innings against the Jays. He allowed only five hits while recording seven strikeouts and three walks to lower his season ERA to a splendid 2.09. Unfortunately, the Tigers' offense remains silent and could not provide the 28-year-old with any run support. A wonderful outing may be for naught if Detroit does not come alive soon. Tarik Skubal helped end the club's six-game losing streak last Sunday, but the Tigers promptly began a new one. Regardless of how this matchup concludes, the organization has to acknowledge that it is incredibly dependent on its ace to get Ws right now. Maybe the lineup will wake up, but president of baseball operations Scott Harris cannot afford to take chances ahead of the MLB trade deadline. Detroit last won the World Series in 1984. It cannot squander an opportunity to take advantage of a fairly crowded American League. With Skubal set to enter free agency after the 2026 campaign, this fan base wants to see the front office go all in and upgrade the roster in the next few days. Though, perhaps the arrival of a new baby will serve as its own unique morale boost. The pitching Triple Crown winner can take pride in a fantastic day at the office and now put all his emotional energy into his family. The Tigers lost a Tarik Skubal start, and the search for answers continues

DETROIT — Tarik Skubal dealt with the uncertainty all week. With his wife, Jessica, due to give birth to the couple's second child any day, Skubal went on the paternity list. He continued his between-starts routine as best he could, trying to maintain normalcy even with a major life event at the forefront of his mind. Advertisement Even before first pitch Saturday, it seemed there was a chance Skubal could be pulled from the bullpen or the field at any moment. 'If we get a call, we'll make him come out of the game or out of his warmups or out of wherever,' Tigers manager A.J. Hinch said. 'I don't even know if he'll be here postgame, depending on how it goes.' Skubal did his best to compartmentalize, to separate the personal from the professional, to give his best effort to a Tigers team that sorely needed it. Detroit entered play having lost 11 of its past 12 games. Here in this free fall, the Tigers hoped their ace could help erase their woes. Skubal answered the bell. He pitched six innings. Came out with electric stuff. 'Kind of vintage Tarik Skubal tonight,' Hinch said. The Tigers even backed him up in the field. Catcher Jake Rogers made a stellar back-pick throw to nab Vladimir Guerrero Jr. at third base in a key situation. In the sixth inning, Bo Bichette battled Skubal for 13 pitches and ultimately worked a walk to load the bases. When ensuing batter Tyler Heineman blooped a ball to center, Matt Vierling made a tremendous throw home to get George Springer on a forceout at the plate. Rogers even applied a tag for good measure. In a bases-loaded jam, Skubal punched out Addison Barger on a 100.5 mph sinker to end the day. Skubal let out perhaps his most visceral yell of the season, and that's saying something. 101 MPH to escape the jam 🔥 Tarik Skubal is FIRED UP 😤 — MLB (@MLB) July 26, 2025 'That's just me being in the moment and being who I am,' Skubal said. That Bichette plate appearance, though, was still consequential. It contributed to a 34-pitch sixth inning that ran Skubal's pitch count to 96. The workload ensured his day was done after six innings. 'Bichette kind of took the decision away from us,' Hinch said. Advertisement Meanwhile, a Tigers offense that had mustered only 15 runs in eight games since the All-Star break provided Skubal with only a ground-ball single from Rogers for support. Kevin Gausman vexed the Tigers with his splitter for six innings. The game was locked in a scoreless tie when the starters left. That meant three innings to play with everything at stake. With Skubal out of the game, Detroit's bullpen again got bashed. Will Vest, to this point the team's most capable reliever, gave up two runs. Chase Lee, one of the most pleasant surprises of the Tigers' first half, was pummeled for four. The Tigers lost 6-1, their 12th loss in 13 tries. Rogers, a catcher with a .184 batting average, mustered the team's only two hits. The Toronto Blue Jays have surged to the best record in baseball. The Tigers, meanwhile, are falling further into a dark pit with every loss. What started as a losing streak has quickly morphed into a pressure cooker. 'It's been brutal,' Hinch said. 'I think our guys are feeling it. … Right now, we're beat up, and we should be. We've had a brutal stretch here. It can change tomorrow.' There are no easy answers in situations like this. Words don't do much good when the play on the field simply isn't correcting. So, what's the answer? 'I wish I knew,' Rogers said, 'because I'd tell every guy in here. Again, we're in a tough stretch — there's no doubt about it. We've got to be better.' The bullpen has been beleaguered for almost two months. The offense has entered a deep slumber that threatens to undermine the Tigers' identity. One example: The mix-and-match Tigers did not pinch hit in Saturday's game. Their versatile construction is dependent on having 13 players capable of producing. Lately, they've struggled to get anyone but Spencer Torkelson going at the plate. Their offense ranks last in OPS in this short stretch since the break. Advertisement 'I don't know if we're being too aggressive or not too aggressive,' Rogers said. 'We're just in limbo right now. … When we were doing well, we were getting into the bullpen. We were getting starters out early and getting to the bullpen, and it runs up our chances late in the series to use more and more bullpen arms.' Skubal has become the face of this team and one of its most important voices, too. Saturday night, he stood at his locker, mostly keeping the personal side of a stressful week to himself. As the conversation turned toward the game and the course of the season, Skubal tried to speak for his team. He said the Tigers will be better for having encountered this adversity. 'It's not because of lack of effort or trying or give-a-s— or anything like that,' Skubal said. 'Our team really cares each and every day, and the one thing I can always trust is preparation. That's what I trust when I go out there, and I think our guys, 1 through 26, are doing the same thing. It's just not going our way right now. People probably don't want to hear this, but it's part of the game. We're gonna be better for it. Whenever the tides turn, we're gonna be better for it.' Time might prove Skubal correct. But the longer this losing stretch lingers, the more cause there is for concern. 'Failure, there's a ton to learn from and a ton of success to happen on the other side of it,' Skubal said. 'I don't think anyone in here is afraid of failure, either. It's just part of the game. You got to keep stacking good days and good days of work. I like our odds against anybody.'
