Mum pleads guilty to manslaughter of toddler who died after being found in pool
A woman has pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of her two-year-old daughter, who died after being found in a pond. Alice Mackey, 42, admitted killing Annabel Mackey in Kingsley, Hampshire, in September 2023. The two-year-old went missing from her home on 10 September. She was found a short time later unresponsive at Kingsley Pond. Annabel was taken to hospital in a serious condition, but died the following afternoon.

1 critically injured after crews respond for person going into Surfside Beach-area pond
HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — One person has been hospitalized with critical injuries after Horry County Fire Rescue crews responded for reports of a person going into a pond in the Surfside Beach area, the department said Thursday evening. Crews responded at 7:26 p.m. to the 200 block of Presidential Drive, HCFR said. The incident was under control at about 8:25 p.m., and a person was hospitalized with critical injuries.
