The announcement of Swift's new album came during the latest episode of the New Heights podcast, hosted by Travis and Jason Kelce, where the music sensation appeared as a special guest. Fans had already been in detective mode, looking for clues online, which included a perfect, photoshopped promo shot making the rounds on social media.
Taylor Swift's Album Cover
In the album cover, Swift is seen submerged in water, wearing a shimmering silver-white beaded gown, with the title placed across the image. In true Taylor fashion, there are multiple deluxe editions on it, each linked to a colour theme:
Sweat and Vanilla Perfume (orange)
It's Frightening (deep red)
It's Rapturous (lilac)
It's Beautiful (white)
The standard vinyl edition will feature a glittery orange record in a mint green sleeve.
Taylor Swift teased the announcement with a countdown on her website and then finally revealed the album during her podcast appearance.
Taylor Swift's Favourite Song
While chatting with the Kelce brothers, Swift also revealed her favourite song, which is the rerecording of her 2012 album's titular track Red. 'When it came time to do Taylor's Version and rerecording the album, I went back in, found the verses, restructured the song to the way that it pretty much was when I had originally written it. That song is one of my favourite things I've ever done," she shared.
The upcoming album marks her first release since The Tortured Poets Department in April 2024, which became the year's best-selling record.
