Academie Ste. Cecile expands prep program with basketball
Academie Ste. Cecile already has prep hockey and soccer, and is looking to expand its offering. A local high school is taking a shot at launching a prep basketball program. Academie Ste. Cecile already has prep hockey and soccer, and is looking to expand its offering. Athletic Director Robb Serviss says the school is putting together the team next month, wth plans to compete in both the U.S. and Canada. 'Another small piece in the big plan. When you look at, what we're trying to build here within the infrastructure and, and, trying to, you know, become a big player in the, you know, prep, sports scene here in the Midwest,' said Serviss The 12-person roster will be coached by former Lancer and OUA champion Greg Surmacz, who was head of player development with the university men's basketball team last season.
