FTSE 100 Live: Stocks Rally Set to Extend and Defy Tariff Rhetoric
Beyond the listing debate, Glencore's adjusted earnings for the first half missed estimates, down 14% due to weaker coal prices and lower copper volumes.
Glencore flagged that it's copper business is 'currently navigating various temporary, but largely expected, operational factors,' which impacted production at a number of its mines in the first half of the year.
Another big focus of the update has been on costs, but Glencore just repeated that it had conducted a review that found around $1 billion of cost savings.
