Woman litters parking ticket and gets fined again
A woman in Falmouth, Cornwall, received an additional fine for littering after throwing her parking ticket on the ground and verbally abusing a civil enforcement officer.
The incident, where the woman ripped the ticket off her windscreen and discarded it, was captured on the officer's body camera.
She was issued a £250 fixed penalty notice for littering, reduced to £150 for early payment, in addition to her initial parking fine.
This case is part of Cornwall Council 's crackdown on littering, making her the third person recently fined £250 in the area.
Other recent fines include a man for discarding an egg custard carton and a woman for dropping a drinks bottle, with the council urging the public to report such offences.
