EXCLUSIVE: From Bachelor to bikinis! Rachel Nance gives an inside look into life on reality TV, her Miami Swim Week must-haves, AAPI & more
From Bachelor to bikinis — Rachel Nance is ready for anything. Nance, who was a fan favorite on season 28 of The Bachelor (aka Joey's season!), entered as an everyday nurse and left as a reality star — but in the years since her TV debut, she has become a cultural advocate for AAPI people everywhere. The proud Filipino, Black, Arbab, and Pacific Island-raised former Bachelor contestant underwent severe online hate throughout her time post-filming due to her 'blended' family background. It has been her mission ever since to raise awareness, promote education, and amplify the voice of the largely marginalized AAPI community. The star often shares her encouragement via Instagram saying, 'Be proud of who you are and own it and love it!' Her time on the set of one of the world's most popular reality shows taught her more than you may think, from how to chase her dreams to the best bikini brands. 'Doing reality, it was a scary scenario to imagine myself in. But it also turned out the best way possible,' said Nance. The humble nurse remembers being 'taught a lot' from her fellow contestants 'I think I learned a lot from my friend Leah, she's a glam girl.' Most of Nance's favorite beauty products and brands were influenced by her friends on the show, including her newfound love for Tatcha's lip mask and fellow Filipino Patrick Starrr's famous On 'Til Dawn setting spray. ONE/SIZE On 'Til Dawn Mattifying Waterproof Setting Spray 'Patrick Star, if you're going to wear makeup at the beach, put his spray on — It'll stay on forever!' The Hawaii raised star noted her fellow AAPI creator Patrick Starrr's product as one of her must-haves. From celebs to Sephora shoppers, this setting spray continues to be a viral buy and it comes in a glittery version too! $32 Shop She also notably has matching David Yurman bracelets with her fellow finalist of Joey's season, Daisy Kent! 'We walked past David Yurman (we love telling the story), and I said we should, like, look at bracelets. She's like, 'Yeah, okay, I won't get one.' And I think something came over us! ... We have matching bracelets. That's what these are. It's a friendship bracelet,' said Nance. David Yurman Cablespira® Bracelet Friendship bracelets but make it adult! Nance and her co-star Daisy Kent both have this stunning luxe David Yurman bracelet 'We have matching bracelets. That's what these are. It's a friendship bracelet,' said Nance. The famous jewelry brand is loved by many stars and you can explore products in a wide price range starting in the low hundreds. $2,300 But it was not just Nance's co-stars that opened her eyes while filming — it was the viewer's reactions that led to perhaps the most influential takeaway. 'Because everything was televised. I think my self-worth and my identity in my family and my culture have grown astronomically. And although I had a lot of negativity thrown at me because of what I displayed, it made me more proud of who I am and where I come from,' said Nance. Her experience as a multicultural female reality star has largely impacted her perspective as she brings her pride and passion now into every aspect of her life, from the content she creates to the clothes she shops. 'I think because I am from Hawaii, a lot of it is simple things, like the hair clips that we wear... but also from the mainland, like Tatcha Lip Mask, which is a summer staple that you should buy immediately!' Tatcha The Kissu Lip Mask Nance mentioned Tatcha as one of her favorite AAPI brands to shop — and it is their viral lip mask that she specifically swears by. This ultra-hydrating jelly mask is perfect for summer with nourishing ingredients such as Japanese peach extract. The gel formula plumps, firms, and restores the lips overnight! $29 Shop Nance noted Tatcha and ONE/SIZE as just two of her favorite popular AAPI brands she consistently shops, but perhaps her biggest obsession currently is a $26 poncho off Amazon that comes in ten colors and according to Nance is 'an Asian American' founded brand. From celebrating AAPI month this May to attending her first-ever Miami Swim Week, Rachel Nance is always on the move — and her fans can't help but keep up. 'This is my first Miami Swim Week... I'm just so excited to be around such beautiful, strong women who are running the show, creating the show, and walking it as well,' she said ahead of the runway shows, which concluded on June 1. And of course, The Bachelor star gave a shout-out to the winner of her season, Kelsey Anderson, who she said she was 'very excited' to see walk in the Cupshe show. Cupshe x Kelsey Anderson Wish You Were Here Bikini Set Bachelor besties! Nance is attending her fellow Bachelor co-star Kelsey Anderson's Cupshe runway show which she says she is 'very, very excited!' for. Anderson's collab collection with the popular affordable swimwear brand includes several summery styles — even one in Nance's go-to bikini shade green! $40 Shop Luli Fama Cosita Buena South Beach Dress Luli Fama brand 'Since I've entered this world entertainment my bikini choices have change a lot,' says Nance. One brand that she'll be eyeing during Miami Swim week is Luli Fama. The luxe brand is available on Revolve and features trendy suits as well as unique cover-ups! This best-selling one is selling out fast and we have a feeling Nance would be a fan. $128 Shop Since her time on The Bachelor, Nance has returned to her life as a dedicated nurse and pursued new ventures, sharing her experiences across social media and beyond. But her work goes beyond the common eye as she spreads light and positivity throughout every endeavor from Hawaii to TV and far, far beyond.

Love Island cast CONFIRMED! ITV2 announce firebreather, footballer and Maura Higgins lookalike as the first names to be joining the villa
Love Island has confirmed the first three Islanders to be joining the upcoming series as the brand new villa-mates are announced ahead of the twelfth series. The ITV2 dating show returns on June 9 and there looks set to be the usual mix of love triangles, bedroom trysts and messy breakups as a firebreather, footballer and Maura Higgins lookalike make their way to the island. Presenter Maya Jama will once again be at the helm after joining the popular dating series in January 2023. This year, the show celebrates a decade on screens and promises to have 'more twists and turns than ever before' in honour of their 10-year anniversary. The series, which has been streamed over two billion times on ITVX, has seen over 300 Islanders pass through the villa doors over the years, including the likes of Olivia Attwood, Dani Dyer, Chris Hughes, and Molly-Mae Hague. Daily Mail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Sophie Lee Sophie Lee, from Manchester, is one of the first to be confirmed for the show. The 29-year old will fly to the picturesque Spanish island for Love Island's twelfth series following a brush with death when she was 22. Sophie had been working as a firebreather for 18-months before she suffered horrific burns to her face and chest during a freak accident in the United States. She was performing at a huge event in Chicago when the venue's air conditioning blew flames she was expelling from her mouth back into her face, leaving her with serious, life-threatening burns. Sophie has since turned to modelling and influencing and has even written a book about her experience. She also works with Katie Piper 's foundation, which supports people living with burns and scars. Dejon Noel Williams Another footballer making his way to the island is Dejon, who plays semi-professionally alongside his job as a personal trainer. He boasts 11,000 followers on social media thanks in part to his regular shirtless gyn snaps. His bio reads: 'I go beyond the gym—helping you build Strength, Confidence & Discipline for life.' In 2021, he represented the Grenada national football team. Megan Forte Clarke Love Island has also signed up a pantomime star and Maura Higgins lookalike who brands herself a 'modern Bridget Jones' for the upcoming season. MailOnline can reveal Megan Forte Clarke, 24, from Dublin, recently starred as one of the Ugly Sisters in Cinderella, but she's likely to get the pulses racing on the ITV2 show due to her sassy Irish charm, which sparks further similarities to Love Island legend Maura. Megan has a distinguishing feature that won't go unnoticed, a Harry Potter-style lightning scar on her forehead, which she claims was a result of her 'slipping and falling down the stairs.' The actress already has a sizeable TikTok following and the social media platform is where she makes her comparison with unlucky-in-love Bridget. She said: 'I am the modern day Bridget Jones. Can I hold a man down? Don't be silly. Have I just been ghosted again? Absolutely. Am I still funny AF with great t*ts? Obvs.' And ITV bosses are hoping that Megan can recreate some of Maura's Irish magic on the series this year, which returns to screens next Monday. Megan has a distinguishing feature that won't go unnoticed, a Harry Potter-style lightning scar on her forehead, which she claims was a result of her 'slipping and falling down the stairs' A TV source told MailOnline: 'Megan is a gorgeous girl, she's funny, and right now, couldn't be unluckier in love, making her the perfect Islander. Helena Ford Included in the Summer 2025 series is an Influencer friend of show favourite Zara McDermott - travel influencer and cabin crew beauty Helena Ford, report The Sun. As well as jetting around the world in her day job, Helena also has a TikTok account and 4,903 Instagram followers, she posting 'come with me' videos from idyllic locations including Dubai, Lake Como and Monaco. Tommy Bradley Tommy Bradley will be entering the villa ready to shake things up with the ladies, according to a new report. And he looks to have undergone a body overhaul for the show where the contestants spend far more time parading around in their swimwear than fully clothed. A source told The Sun: 'Tommy seems to tick all the Love Island boxes as the cheeky chappy of this summer's series. 'He looks to enjoy a night out with the lads and out on the boxing scene with his brother. 'But he's also packed on serious muscle over the last year ready for telly's famous villa and is no longer just a personality hire. Execs are finalising who will be in the OG line-up and who will be a bombshell.' Tommy has documented his gym routine on his Instagram page and has been working out with his boxer brother Jamie. Love Island bosses have also reportedly lined up a glamorous model to star in the ITV show, but viewers will have to wait and see if she'll be an OG cast mate or a bombshell. Shakira Khan Shakira Khan, 22, from Manchester was the second female revealed for the upcoming season. The stunner's Instagram page is filled with picturesque travel snaps from Haiti, Dubai and New York - and she's not afraid of modelling a bikini. A source told The Sun: 'Shakira is jaw-droppingly gorgeous and will land a place in Love Island's history books as a real beauty.' Lucy Quinn Lucy Quinn, 20, was the first female revealed for the upcoming season with sources confirming she will enter the Mallorca villa as a bombshell once the eight-week series is underway. The Scouse makeup artist, who regularly shares photos of her beautified clients on Instagram, is set to join the new Love Island cast this summer. A TV source told MailOnline: 'Lucy is single and ready to mingle. She can't wait to enter the Love Island villa and is counting down the days until it becomes a reality. 'She's fiery and doesn't take any nonsense when it comes to dating but is equally looking for the man of her dreams, hopefully all will come true for her this summer.' Aaron Buckett Fitness fan Aaron is also confirmed for the upcoming series and as a 6ft5 personal trainer, he has a lot to offer potential daters. A TV insider told The Sun: 'Love Island execs are still finalising whether he'll be in the opening line-up or as a tempting bombshell.' The gym enthusiast already boasts thousands of followers on both his TikTok and Instagram pages, where he regularly shares clips of his gruelling workouts. A villa source told The Sun: 'It's a fact of life that girls go crazy for a tall lad and Aaron is a man mountain. 'He's got great chat too. Harry Cooksley Footballer Harry, 29, plays for Farnham Town as a midfielder and has even been branded The Surrey Zidane by fans thanks to his on pitch talent. Off the pitch the sportsman apparently has 'got the full package - a great, athletic bod and great chat.' 'Love Island's ladies love a footballer and The Surrey Zidane will be sure to impress as he plays away,' a show insider has told The Sun. Blu Chegini Businessman Blu lives and works in London as a construction project manager after graduating from Oxford Brookes in 2023. He also loves to jet over to Marbella for regular holidays, according to his social media accounts. Alima Gagio Scottish stunner Almima has an BA Hons degree in International Business after graduating from Glasgow Caledonian University. She also loves to travel, sharing holiday snaps with her 2,250 followers. Ben Holbrough Model Ben is sure to be a hit with his fellow islanders and viewers. Boasting a ripped 6ft 2in physique the hunk says 'My main line of work is modelling, which I've been doing for about five or six years now.' 'But when I'm not doing that, my hobbies are either going to the gym or playing football.' Megan Moore Influencer Megan is another love hopeful who boasts a strong social media following. Posting regular snaps of her travels the blonde's next destination is Mallorca. Rose Selway Rose, 24, from Devon is set to join the cast of singletons looking for love this summer as she swaps business for pleasure at the Mallorca villa. The entrepreneur, who runs 12 branches of her tweakments clinic Jessica Rose, has an extensive list of celebrity clients, including former stars of the ITV2 show. Rose shared before and after images of ex-Islanders Lucinda Strafford and Jessy Potts via her Instagram page and has documented her own journey with Botox and filler online. Writing on Instagram, Rose explained that she previously had a rhinoplasty, 'Botox brow lift', and lip filler, often performing the enhancements on her own face. Speaking about her business, she said: 'Aesthetics isn't just my job, it's my whole world. I absolutely love it and adore every single one of you I meet day in and day out. The confidence I bring you all makes me burst with joy.' A TV source told MailOnline: 'Rose has gone through the audition process with ITV2 and is being considered either for the opening lineup or as a bombshell. 'Rose is friends with many former stars of the show so has a good idea what it's like being in the villa and now she finally has the chance to experience it herself. Kyle Ashman Kyle meanwhile doesn't have a strong social media presence with just one Insta pic on his profile, although he is showing off his impressive six pack. ITV will be revealing the full cast of singletons this week ahead of the show's launch with more twists than ever promised for series 12. In the new trailer, Maya Jama demands a fresh set of ideas from a boardroom of Love Island executives but rejects their uninspiring suggestions which include moving the show to the Isle of Wight and turning it into a musical. Love Island: All Stars ended in February with Scouser Gabby Allen winning the title and £50,000 prize pot alongside Casey O'Gorman, who she has since split from. The couple called time on their romance two weeks ago while runners-up Grace Jackson and Luca Bish remain in a relationship.

Former Reality Television Show Contestant Dies in Car Crash at 24
Sam Gardiner, who starred in the second season of the British reality television show Race Across the World, died Thursday from injuries suffered in a serious car accident earlier in the week. Gardiner, 24, was driving his white Volkswagen on the A34 near Manchester Monday night when his car left the roadway and rolled before landing on its side, according to the Greater Manchester Police. Gardiner was the only occupant of the vehicle. He was taken to the hospital with severe head injuries, where he remained until his death three days later. In a statement, Gardiner's parents Jo and Andrew confirmed his tragic passing. 'We are devastated by the loss of our beloved son Sam in a terrible accident," the statement reads. "Sam left us far too soon, and whilst words will never fully capture the light, joy and energy he brought into our lives, we hold on to the memories that made him so special. Sam was adored by his family. As a son, brother and nephew, he was loyal, funny and fiercely protective. 'Sam brought warmth, laughter and a smattering of chaos wherever he went. He leaves behind a huge hole in our hearts. We will miss him endlessly, but we'll also remember him with smiles, tall tales, and a depth of love that will never fade'. Sam, a landscape gardener, and his mother were contestants on Race Across the World, where they finished fourth out of five teams. The experience "opened his eyes to the wonder of adventure and travel," said Gardiner's parents. "We are all deeply saddened to hear the tragic news about Sam," said a Race Across the World spokesperson. "Everyone who worked with him, and indeed everyone who watched Sam, could see just how precious and transformative the trip was for both him and his mum Jo." We would also like to extend our condolences to Gardiner's family and friends during this difficult time. Popular Married At First Sight groom reveals plans to return to reality TV - but it's not what fans may think
Married At First Sight groom Jeff Gobbels has hinted at a surprising return to reality television - but fans expecting a stint on The Block may need to think again. The 40-year-old electrician from Melbourne, who found love with bride Rhi Disljenkovic on the most recent season of MAFS, took to social media to reveal his sights are now set on the small screen once again - but this time, in the kitchen. Jeff, who runs the popular foodie Instagram account Jeff Eats, shared a candid moment during a cosy dinner with his girlfriend Rhi and fellow MAFS bride Beth Kelly, where he teased the idea of fronting his own cooking show. 'Would I do my own cooking show? I think I would,' Jeff told his followers as he served up a home-cooked meal to the ladies. Beth didn't hold back her praise, exclaiming, 'Yeah. You're amazing. This is amazing. Like restaurant quality.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. The 40-year-old electrician from Melbourne, who found love with bride Rhi Disljenkovic (both pictured) on the most recent season of MAFS, took to social media to reveal his sights are now set on the small screen once again - but this time, in the kitchen 'Restaurant quality?' Jeff asked, clearly chuffed with the feedback. 'Yeah. Love that,' Beth added. 'I'm so impressed.' The impromptu dinner party clip has since sparked speculation that Jeff may be eyeing a culinary career on screen, blending his newfound fame with his passion for food. It comes amid rumours Jeff and Rhi were set to appear on The Block as contestants - speculation the pair have so far remained tight-lipped on. But based on Jeff's latest online content, it seems his focus is firmly on the food scene. In a recent review posted to his foodie platform, Jeff visited the renowned Melbourne Italian eatery Osteria Ilaria and shared a detailed breakdown of his experience. 'When I started Jeff Eats, it was not only to bring you delicious recipes you can make for yourself at home, but also to show you around some of the best restaurants and try some of the best food around Melbourne and Australia,' he explained in the video. Jeff raved about the beef tartare, describing it as 'unreal,' and rated the pasta and steak 'sensational' and 'cooked to perfection.' The ocean trout was 'okay,' while the dessert didn't quite hit the mark. 'The dessert was average if you ask me, but maybe you're not,' he quipped with a laugh. Still, he awarded the overall dining experience a solid 8 out of 10. Jeff's unexpected pivot into the food and lifestyle space appears to be gaining traction with fans, many of whom have called for him to get his own series or guest role on shows like My Kitchen Rules or MasterChef. It comes after the fan favourite groom announced that he has joined forces with former NBL stars Pete Hooley and Tommy Sheridan to co-host Ausmerican Aces: NBA Show. 'It's funny, fast, and always on point,' Jeff told Daily Mail Australia last month. 'We cut through the sh*t and say it how it is'. Jeff is now talking MVP picks and defensive stats. 'We discuss Coaches Mayhem, early predictions for the East and West, the MVP debate, and the Defensive Player of the Year race,' the trio shared on socials ahead of the show's third episode - which features none other than tennis star Thanasi Kokkinakis in the guest chair. The popular podcast is already proving a hit with fans and regularly sees the trio chat to popular athletes. While some may scratch their heads at Jeff's new hustle, he's far from the only MAFS alum to throw their hat in the podcasting ring. Carina Mirabile, who also appeared on MAFS in 2025, has just dropped the first episode of This Is Chaos, her chaotic-good foray into the world of audio content. The fashion-forward firecracker is joined by her real-life bestie, celebrity hairstylist Jacob Muller, and the duo are wasting no time serving unfiltered takes on fashion, beauty, empowerment - and everything in between. 'Welcome to This Is Chaos, a brand new podcast with Married At First Sight's Carina Mirabile and her bestie… where fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and raw honesty collide!' the show's official description reads. And that's not all. Daily Mail Australia hears whispers that Adrian Araouzou, never one to shy away from controversy, is in talks to launch his own podcast - one that promises bombshells, shock guests, and possibly some former cast mates. Of course, all these MAFS mic-grabbers are chasing the heels of Domenica Calarco and Ella Ding, who set the standard with their hit show Sit With Us. Launched in the wake of their star-making turns on MAFS in 2022, the pair's podcast soared up the charts thanks to their signature blend of sass, sisterhood and spilt tea. Though the duo eventually parted ways personally and professionally - with Ella leaving the show - it marked a pivotal shift, proving that MAFS alumni can build genuine media careers off-screen. More recently, Tahnee Cook has joined fan favourite Selina Chhaur in hosting Nova's successful Back to Reality podcast. One thing's for sure - the MAFS class of seasons past aren't fading into obscurity. They're popping up in your feeds, in your earbuds, and now, apparently, on the NBA beat.

Inside ‘Down Home Fab' Season 3: Chelsea Houska DeBoer's Cowboy Contemporary Style And Real-Life Chaos
Chelsea Houska DeBoer has been a household name since her teenage years, first appearing on MTV's 16 and Pregnant and later on Teen Mom 2. While she openly shared the challenges and chaos of young motherhood with the world, she's now showcasing her happily ever after on HGTV. DeBoer stars alongside her husband, Cole DeBoer, in the home renovation series Down Home Fab, which premiered its third season on May 27, 2025. After drawing 7.3 million viewers last season, the DeBoers are busier than ever with their Sioux Falls, South Dakota-based home renovation business. I recently spoke with DeBoer about the show, working with her husband, and what it's like to open a retail shop—all in front of the cameras. This season, reality hits home, almost literally. In the premiere episode, the DeBoers are interrupted mid-project by a phone call informing them that a car has crashed into their soon-to-open retail store. While design hiccups are common in home makeover shows, this twist is beyond anything even the savviest reality TV producers could script. Yet, the couple's first reaction—making sure no one was hurt—reveals their genuine character. DeBoer tells me, 'I think this season is more raw. It shows more personality, it shows more of us actually balancing all of the different parts of our life. Things are chaotic at all times over here and I'm glad to be showing the realness of that! Each of the eight episodes features a different makeover in DeBoer's signature Cowboy Contemporary style."This aesthetic is very Midwest-meets-West, with a touch of glam and a whole lot of fun." DeBoer describes it as a blend of rugged charm with clean, modern design. 'We like to mix natural textures like cowhide, wood, and metal with sleek lines and bold accents. It feels elevated and welcoming.' She also feels like the third season marks a new era for the show, showing her evolution as an interior designer. 'This season just feels extra special and different from previous seasons. We want to make sure we are always leveling up as we go and I think you can see that in the projects that we do. I feel like I've really honed in on what my personal style is and being able to sprinkle that into my designs,' explains the reality star. Still, Chelsea has appreciated the challenge. 'It's so fun to dive into someone else's style! It pushes me out of my own comfort zone and helps me grow as a designer for sure! And then seeing their reactions to the completed space, that will never get old!' But most importantly, she is incredibly grateful for her life. 'It's been a really exciting year for us! We always say we thrive in chaos—and it still holds true. Somehow, we just make it through. We try to remind ourselves that yes, it's a busy, busy time in our lives, but it's all because of such incredible things. Being able to stay grateful for everything we have—and for the reasons we're so busy—really helps. I think looking at it from a place of gratitude is what gets us through.' In the first episode, DeBoer renovates the home of a single mom who is a successful entrepreneur but definitely struggling to make her space work for both her business and family. The two women truly connect and end up designing spaces that feel equally stylish and practical. 'I'll always have a soft spot for single moms and just all moms in general,' she tells me. 'To hopefully take some weight off of Madison's shoulders for her, so she has one less thing to worry about, that feels really good. She doesn't need to be worrying about her home, she already has enough on her plate!' This season also covers the opening of their retail store, which sells a variety of items in the DeBoers' signature style. From furniture to accessories, it's the perfect curation of chic and kitschy. But it's also a real business venture, according to the reality star. 'Down Home by DeBoers is so special to us. To be able to have an actual brick and mortar and see people coming in to check it out has been so exciting. It really is an extension of everything we love. The vision was to create a place that feels warm and welcoming. Making it an experience for customers, whether they are looking for a candle, a small home accessory or need to furnish a whole room—we want to be the place for that!' The DeBoers also launched an e-commerce platform in 2025 (just in time for the premiere), which is a great way for those who won't be in Tea, South Dakota anytime soon to shop the look. 'Our online store is an extension of everything we have built in person. Same curated pieces, same lived in, western inspired style. We really worked hard to make it feel like you're walking through our shop, even from your phone!' But perhaps the best part for the husband-and-wife duo is working together. 'We are literally best friends. We enjoy being together all the time. We will go argue over a tile selection and then go laugh over lunch. It's all about balance and making sure we are enjoying the little moments. We are a team and how lucky are we that we get to experience all of this together?' Down Home Fab airs Tuesdays at 8:00pm/7:00 central on HGTV.
