It was partly paid for by a £1,000 donation from Summerfield, a long-standing partner of the club.
Ed Khodabandehloo, managing director of Summerfield Homes, said: "It is great to see the new scoreboard up and running.
"We are proud to support Wellington Rugby Club and look forward to seeing some impressive scores lit up next season."
John Dunbar, former club chairman and current sponsorship lead, said: "The club is extremely grateful to Summerfield for their continued support.
"The new scoreboard is a fantastic addition to the ground for both the players and spectators."
