Lottery ticket purchased from Mass. package store wins $1 million prize
A $1 million prize was won after the player purchased it from a Middleborough package store. The scratch ticket game was '$1,000,000 Monopoly Doubler' and it was purchased at Kurts Corner. It wasn't the only big winner won or claimed on Friday. There were also two $100,000 prizes. A $100,000 'Mass Cash' prize was won from a ticket purchased at Shaws in Worcester. And another $100,000 prize was claimed from the game '$15,000,000 Colossal Millions' after the scratch ticket had been purchased at Acres Newsstand in Springfield. Overall, 590 prizes worth $600 or more were won or claimed in Massachusetts on Friday. The Massachusetts State Lottery releases a full list of winning tickets every day. The list only includes winning tickets worth more than $600. The two largest lottery prizes won so far in 2025 were each worth $15 million. One of the prizes was from a winning 'Diamond Deluxe' scratch ticket sold in Holyoke, and the other was from a '300X' scratch ticket sold on Cape Cod. Mass. $100,000 lottery win ends man's years-long bad luck streak
CLIVE, Iowa — After several years of bad luck, a western Iowa man declares the streak is ended due to a $100,000 Iowa Lottery win. 66-year-old Bret Chickering says he has had a rough few years. 'I went through cancer, I'm three years cancer-free now,' he told the Iowa Lottery. 'I fell a year or so ago and broke my hip, had a hip replacement. And the radiation from cancer took all my teeth, and that cost me a lot.' New 'Highway Helper' at Sioux City to provide help to stranded motorists Chickering says this win took him totally by surprise, but it's hopefully the start of a new, and luckier, chapter. 'It did, which usually doesn't happen. I don't usually have that good of luck!' Chickering said. 'This helps a lot.' Chickering doesn't have any special plans for his winnings, he's going to save most of the money and continue his job at a manufacturing facility. The winning ticket was a '20X' scratch ticket purchased at the Harlan Hy-Vee, 2003 Chatburn Avenue. 20X is a $10 scratch game that features seven top prizes of $100,000 and overall odds of 1 in 3.15. Mass. Lottery announces new $50 ticket with $25 million grand prize
A new $50 lottery ticket will be released in May by the Massachusetts State Lottery, with a top grand prize of $25 million. The new scratch ticket game, which will be sold at lottery retailers starting May 13, is the Massachusetts Lottery's third installment of a $50 ticket since its highly-successful 'Billion Dollar Extravaganza' game released in 2023. The game is called '$25,000,000 Mega Money' and will feature three grand prizes worth $25 million. It will also feature four $2 million prizes and a dozen $1 million prizes, according to the Lottery. Besides the massive top prize, the game has the 'best odds of winning $50,000″ on any of the Lottery's three $50 scratch ticket games, according to the lottery. There will be 25.2 million total tickets in circulation. All winning '$25,000,000 Mega Money' tickets will be worth at least double what the player paid for the ticket, and non-winning tickets can be entered into each of the 10 Second Chance Drawings to win up to $50,000. Each ticket will be printed on holographic paper with vibrant indigo and red color themes. All tickets also have 'Bonus Spots' for players to scratch off and instantly reveal prizes. In 'Billion Dollar Extravaganza,' the $50 game released Feb. 7, 2023, there are still three $2 million prizes and one $1 million prize remains to be claimed as of April 30. There's also still two $1 million a year for life grand prizes remaining to be claimed in 'Lifetime Millions,' in addition to three $2 million and five $1 million prizes as of April 30.
