Search underway for missing trainee mountain rescue search dog
A trainee mountain rescue search dog has gone missing. In a social media on Saturday, August 16, the Lake District Mountain Rescue Searchdogs appealed for assistance in the search for a missing trainee search dog. According to the non-profit organisation, trainee search dog Tarn 'ran off' from a property in Windermere. Writing on social media, Lake District Mountain Rescue Searchdogs said: "One of our colleagues trainee search dogs has ran off from a house in Claife Avenue, Windermere. "Trainee Search Dog Tarn, English Shepherd. Any sightings please ring or message Rachel on 07540 226687 "Thank you."

Berkshire search and rescue dog Paddy fondly remembered
A tribute has been paid to the "sweetest and kindest" retired search dog after he passed "went to sleep for the final time", Berkshire Search and Rescue Dogs team said in an online post this had been "affectionately known as Gobby" as he would announce his presence at training or a callout to "anyone whether they wanted to listen or not"."Paddy was a firm favourite of many, both in the team and amongst our followers and supporters," the volunteer team said. The service added its thoughts and love were "with his handler Judith and family"."The sweetest and kindest of dogs he will be sorely missed by everyone," the post said."He leaves a huge hole.
