According to police, the vehicle the woman was driving struck a semi-trailer and her vehicle rolled over. She was extricated from her vehicle and taken to hospital. Social Sharing An 18-year-old man is dead after a semi-trailer truck and an SUV crashed in southern Manitoba on Wednesday. Selkirk RCMP responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision at around 5:10 p.m. on the intersection between highways 8 and 67 in the rural municipality of St. Andrews, about 25 kilometres north of Winnipeg. Police believe the semi-trailer was travelling south on Highway 8 and the SUV was crossing the intersection on Highway 67, heading west, RCMP said on a news release Thursday. The driver of the SUV, an 18-year-old from Stonewall, Man., died at the scene of the crash. The driver of the semi-trailer, 43, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Mounties and a forensic collision reconstructionist continue to investigate the crash.
