Kai Trump Reveals Big New Milestone in Photos That Show a Subtle Shift From Grandpa Donald Trump
Donald Trump's 18-year-old granddaughter Kai Trump just shared a bunch of new photos to celebrate a big day. She seems so happy and excited in the snaps, but some fans noticed she might be subtly hinting that she's not as close with her grandfather as she once was. The daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump began her senior year of high school this week, where she marked her last first day of school. That's a huge milestone! More from SheKnows Jeff Bezos & Lauren Sanchez Suffer a Rocky Start to Their Marriage With a Devastating Update 'I cannot believe it's my last first day of high school. Senior year here we come 🥹 #friends #senioryear,' Kai wrote on Instagram. She shared several photos from her school parking lot with her friends, dressed in matching blue polo shirts and khaki skirts. All the girls drew cute art on their windows to celebrate senior year, smiling and posing to show off their cars. Kai posed next to an Audi in one snap and a Cadillac SUV in others, which included references to 'The U,' the nickname for the University of Miami where the teen was accepted to play golf for in the 26-27 school year. Neither of these cars — or any of the cars her friends posed next to — were the Cybertruck that was a gift from President Trump. Back in March, Tesla CEO Elon Musk delivered to five cars to Trump at the White House, where he revealed that he gifted his eldest granddaughter a Tesla. 'I bought for a very special young woman, you know, I'm sure you've never heard of her, Kai,' he said, per Daily Mail. 'She's a great golfer and she puts the clubs in the back, and I guess it's a very safe deal, she loves it.' In the comments, people noticed that Kai isn't driving a Tesla at all anymore. 'Looks like she's not driving the Elon vehicle anymore lol,' one person wrote. Scroll down Kai's Instagram grid far enough, and you'll see pictures of Kai driving a Cybertruck to her homecoming in Oct. 2024. Maybe it was just a rental? Maybe she just got tired of it and traded it out for something else? Or maybe, it's a sign that Kai isn't as close to her grandpa as she once was and is starting to shift away this fall. Of course, teens are notorious for changing their minds, and it could be that Kai just wants to drive a different car right now. After all, last month, she opened up about how much she has 'loved playing golf with [Donald] her whole life' in an interview on Fox & Friends. Kai Trump ditches Elon Musk gift as she begins final year at school before Miami golf scholarship
Fore, please, Kai Trump now driving... but not a Cybertruck. The President's eldest grandchild marked the start of her senior year of high school in Florida with a nod to her future college and golf team, the University of Miami Hurricanes. 'I cannot believe it's my last first day of high school,' the 18-year-old daughter of Donald Trump Jr. wrote on Instagram. 'Senior year here we come.' The pics show Kai with her high school friends standing alongside their (luxury) cars, most of which are marked with 'Seniors' across the rear window. Kai is seen in three photos alongside a Cadillac SUV marked with the unmistakable logo of 'The U,' a common nickname for the century-old private university in Coral Gables she'll attend next year. One slide shows Kai flashing the 'U' hand sign, while another shows her alongside her mother, Vanessa Kay Pergolizzi. Curiously, Kai no longer appears to be driving the Cybertruck her grandfather gifted her prior to his fallout with Tesla CEO Elon Musk. The vehicle she pictured herself with on Instagram back in October of last year has mysteriously given way to a new Escalade in several recent social media videos. A golfer since age 2, Kai has been committed to the Hurricanes since April of 2024 and helped the Benjamin School of Palm Beach Gardens to a district title last season. As of June 26, she was ranked 530 by the American Junior Golf Association. She was even more successful on social media, ranking No. 81 among all high school and college athletes in terms of NIL valuations, according to Kai is now set to join a Hurricanes program that's won five national championships, but none since 1984, while producing one national player of the year in Tracy Kerdyk (1988). What's more, she will also get to play at Miami's home course, the prestigious Biltmore, which costs the public $200 for 18 holes. Of course, that might not be a huge thrill for Kai, whose grandfather owns courses on both sides of the Atlantic with ongoing projects in Oman and Vietnam. And that experience on a variety of challenging courses should come in handy in a highly competitive ACC, which boasts elite programs like Stanford, Florida State and Virginia. While Kai is among the most visible high school athletes in the country, she's may not be the biggest name at her school, where Tiger Woods' son Charlie also attends. Charlie, whose father is dating Kai's mother, is currently No. 14 on the AJGA boy's rankings.
