The little-known Woolworths trick that means you'll never waste time searching for items again

Woolworths has quietly launched a new app feature to make it easier for customers to find products in store. Rather than wasting time walking up and down aisles, shoppers can now find what they need with the press of a button using the 'wayfinding' feature. Daily Mail understands the in-store app feature launched in October last year and is enabled in 300 stores across New South Wales. But customers are only just discovering the handy shopping hack for themselves. Using the Woolworths app, simply tap the 'in store' option at the top then search for the desired product. Then, the aisle number will be disclosed beneath the product picture. Taking things a step further, Woolworths now provides a map of the store and acts like an inbuilt GPS navigation system. Previously customers used the aisle directory to find products, which can be found at the end of each and every aisle in Woolworths. Rather than wasting time walking up and down aisles, shoppers can now find what they need with the press of a button using the 'wayfinding' feature The laminated A4 sheet reveals exactly which aisle you can locate various products throughout the store, from water to bread and milk. However, the directory can be limiting as it doesn't include every product. A Woolworths spokesperson told Daily Mail: 'Over one million Woolworths customers now rely on the Woolworths app as an essential part of their shopping routine as they use it to find value in our weekly specials, plan meals with our recipes, and manage their shop both online and in our aisles. 'Once users have set their preferred store in the app through 'store mode', customers can access their local store floor plan to easily navigate through to find their favourite products quicker and in a more convenient way.'

Fashion fans discover Primark sizing trick that'll mean your clothes can be bought for cheap – & they're stylish too

FORGET rummaging through the women's rails. One savvy fashionista has unearthed a brilliant money-saving hack at Primark that means you can bag stylish new garments for a fraction of the price. 3 3 TikTok user Hannah Pearl, who goes by the handle '@ hannahpearlr ', recently shared her genius shopping trick with her 29,000 followers. Instead of trawling through the adult clothes section, Hannah has found just as much luck - and significantly cheaper prices - in the children's department. Her video, shared three days ago, has already gained a massive 286,000 views, inspiring other budget-conscious shoppers to flock to Primark's kids' section. Hannah, who is 5ft, demonstrated how heading directly to the children's department and looking for age 13-14 clothing can lead to some absolute wardrobe wins. For example, she managed to find a chic black and white co-ord for just £10 in these sizes. As Hannah's video clearly proves, these items can be just as on-trend for adults too. This clever trick means you can refresh your wardrobe without breaking the bank, all while snagging pieces that are both budget-friendly and perfectly chic. Hannah's video also gained 164 comments, as many fashion fans race to share their thoughts. One wrote: 'I love this outfit. 'I've been wearing it often lately. It looks lovely you'd never know it was kids haha I even got a size 11-12 years which surprisingly fit perfectly. 'I'm 5'1 and always shop for kids majority of the time now to save money. I even went to Silverstone in my M&S kids McLaren playsuit.' A second added: 'I'm 33 and today I got some jeans aged 12/13 years. 'My teenage son wears bigger clothes than me nowadays. 'I also have a lovely white Primark dress also aged 12/13.' 3 To which Hannah replied: 'I always get my jeans from the kids section!!' A third added: 'This is me because I'm petite so they fit better.' However, one did warn: 'This is me because I'm petite so they fit better.' By Clemmie Feildsend, Fabulous Fashion Editor AS someone who's no stranger to grabbing a last-minute outfit from Primark for a night out, it's about time that celebrities started catching on too. For as long as I've been heading out, Primark has been my go-to for those 'I have nothing to wear' moments, rushing in at the last minute to find something perfect. And I'm definitely not alone - on any Friday or Saturday night, you'll find plenty of shoppers doing the same thing, right before closing time. But no matter what, Primark always delivers. Now, Rita Ora is leading the charge, showing that you can snag a designer-worthy look without spending a fortune at high-end stores. While Rita's not rushing in last minute for a red carpet outfit, she's proving you can achieve the same high-impact style for much less. Looking stunning in her tailored suit alongside her mum Vera, Rita fit right in among the other A-listers dripping in Prada, Dior, and Victoria Beckham - if anything, she looked even better than some of the guests at The Fashion Awards. With Myleene Klass and Roxy Horner already jumping on the Primark bandwagon, I'm sure more stars will be following suit soon enough.

I've saved £5k on clothes shopping in the kids section at M&S and Primark – I get cut price designer trainers too

A SAVVY shopper has revealed how she's saved £5,000 with a nifty hack. Hannah Pearl, 26, has always struggled to find clothes that fit her petite size 6 frame but now uses it to her advantage by buying clothes in the kid's section. 7 7 She's able to squeeze into jeans, tracksuits, dresses and basics in the kids section in stores such as Next, M&S and Primark - snapping up items at a fraction of the cost for adult-size versions. A recent purchase - an aged 14 M&S tracksuit set cost just £20, whereas a pair of adult jogging bottoms cost £25 alone. Hannah estimates she saves at least £10 on every item she buys in the kids section and £660 annually - having saved £5,280 overall. Hannah, a gymnastics coach, from Stevenage, Hertfordshire, said: "It's so much cheaper. "In Zara there are so many good items of clothes [in the kids section]. "Each item is £10 cheaper than the adults. "It's pretty great - my sister who is a lot taller than me is very jealous of what I can get." Hannah has never shopped for the size which corresponded with her age due to her small stature. She said: "At aged 13 I was still wearing tops for 10 year olds. I was the shortest person in the year." "The clothes my friends were wearing I couldn't get." Now she shops almost exclusively in the kids section - but can get the odd top and hoodie in adult sizes. Hannah said: "It's always been the kids section for trousers. I'm a size 14 and did the best Tesco summer haul - run before new co-ord sells out "You can get all your basics - plain t-shirts and trousers. "You can never tell they are from the kids section. "In the kids section they cater to teens - and they don't want to be wearing crazy unicorn t-shirts. "They've got more sophisticated items." The smallest size Hannah can fit in is an aged 12 item but she often goes for the 14 plus size. Her recent favourites have included a Primark summer dress for just £4 and some cargo trousers for £19 from Next. Friends and strangers have been shocked by Hannah's finds. She said: "People have said 'there is no way that is from the kids section'. I tell them the price and they go 'no way'. "So many have said this is a genius hack. "I think people are embarrassed to go into the kids section. You're saving money and finding clothes that fit. Just own it." Hannah also gets great deals by buying branded junior trainers for her size four feet often getting them half price. She does find it frustrating that shops don't often cater for her small frame - as it means she can't wear certain trends such as 'jort shorts'. She said: "There should be a range for plus-size women, petite etc. "The people designing them need to get real women and bodies in." Meanwhile, a frugal mum shares her ultimate savings tips that allow her to keep up with trends without the hefty price tag. The mum-of-two has listed her favourite tips for looking stylish even on the tightest of budgets - and the one must-have buy for all wardrobes. Elsewhere, a fashionista has shared how she saves hundreds on clothes and even bagged Air Force trainers for £12. 7 7 7 7 7

The clever online shopping method customers are using to get a cheeky discount, and it ‘works every time'

IF you're someone who enjoys a discount - and let's face it, who isn't - then you might want to try the "abandoned basket" method to get your shopping for less. Caroline is a pro at getting more for her money, and regularly shares her top tips on her social media pages. 2 2 And in a recent TikTok video, she explained how you can secretly convince retailers to give you a discount - just by leaving things in your basket. "The best online shopping hack that basically nobody ever uses is the abandoned basket method," she said. "Simply go onto a website where you want to buy something and put those things in your online basket. "And then, don't buy it!" You then need to "wait a few hours" or maybe a "day or two" and "that company will email you and they will send you a discount to use!" She shared some of the retailers she's found that send out such discounts, including Asda, Boohoo, New Look and River Island. "In fact, some might even send you a discount for up to 50%!" Caroline continued. "This is because they would rather have your custom at a lower price than not at all." Caroline added that she's long used the method, and has saved herself "loads of money" by doing so. And people in the comments section were equally quick to suggest trying out the hack. "It works every time," one insisted. "I always use this!" another said. "I've done that for years," a third commented. "I do this all the time! 9 out of 10 send discounts!" someone else wrote. "I use this as well, it's great & I came across it by accident!" another laughed. "I do this often. I get a discount and free shipping more often than not," someone else revealed. As another added: "I've used this trick on eBay recently. I got discounts a day or so later." While others insisted they were desperate to have a test out of the method next time they shop for something online. "Wow that's fab info, I will definitely try that," one said. "Oh that's why I get emails with a discount lol!" another added. "Love you and your tips," a third smiled.

‘No idea': Little-known supermarket hack to lock in sale prices

Who's going to say no to a savvy shopping hack that will save you money during your weekly shop? In this economy? Not this gal. Has this trick been floating around for years? Absolutely. But even as a chronically online scroller and an avid member of an embarrassing amount of supermarket-enthusiast groups, sometimes, things fall through the cracks. But it turns out, I'm not the only one who has been algorithmically dodged by this little nugget of wisdom. Allow me to let you in on the secret. You know when you spot your favourite snack on special at the supermarket, like those delicious little chocolate peanut slabs placed at the perfect impulse-purchase location – but then you come back for round two of your sweet treat the next day, and they're all gone? WELL. You can actually lock in the discounted price for when they're back in stock – yes, even if they're no longer on sale. Enter: the revolutionary concept of ~ the raincheck ~, a word I've often heard, but never understood. Content creator Kati Keki shared the tip on her social media this week, saying, 'Just a little reminder that if a product has run out you can get a raincheck to lock in the price …' She then shared a close-up photo of the product's sale ticket that she showed to a staff member to make the whole process more efficient. A Coles spokesperson confirmed this is totally legitimate. 'If a product is advertised in our weekly catalogue but it is unavailable, customers are entitled to ask for a raincheck coupon,' they told 'The raincheck enables customers to buy that item at the same advertised reduced price within 30 days of receiving the raincheck, even after that product has reverted back to full price.' There are some caveats, however. Vouchers can't be redeemed on tobacco and smoking products, gift cards, mobile phones, mobile phone accessories and prepaid mobile phone services. And when an item is marked 'while stocks last' or 'no rainchecks', Coles don't offer a raincheck. Also, sometimes there's a maximum amount of items you can buy with a raincheck, to limit the chance of a #stockpiling sitch. Woolworths is also on board, bringing its raincheck policy back in February to help us all 'hack your shopping budget and make the most of our 6000 weekly specials in store,' according to its spokesperson. The 30-day period applies here as well, and there are similar products that are excluded from the offer too, like gift cards and tobacco. People were absolutely lapping up the PSA on Facebook, with one shopper saying, 'This is cool', while others said, 'Thanks for the info' and 'Great news'. Eloquent stuff, but they're bang on, really. Because next time I spot those peanut slabs, I'm definitely going to try this out. Yes, even if it does make me feel like a pensioner, both my choice of snack and this thrifty tip.
