McDonald's Customers Notice Big Change In Beloved Snack Wraps

Yes, snack wraps are back, but not all loyal McDonald's customers are entirely happy about it. The popular menu item made its way back to menus on July 10, a long-awaited return that was first teased by McDonald's social media accounts in April. However, consumers recently noticed a big change to the snack wraps—and, apparently, it's not for the better. The fast food restaurant currently sells the Ranch Snack Wrap (a comeback menu item) and the Spicy Snack Wrap (a new offering). Reddit users spotted a taste difference, however, since the snack wrap was previously placed on menus."They aren't as good as they were before," one Reddit user wrote. "Main points I took away is that the Ranch one still has the same taste, but the chicken tenders they used to use were 100x better. Now, it's more of a chicken finger/strip type of deal and it just isn't the same." Turns out, other customers noticed the difference as well, citing that "the new strips don't have as much crunchy breading." According to McDonald's website, the menu item does include the McCrispy Strips that returned in May 2025 after a ten year hiatus. The snack wrap additionally includes shredded cheese, shredded lettuce, a soft tortilla, and a creamy Ranch sauce. In the original Snack Wrap, McDonald's offered their grilled or crispy chicken breast. RELATED: Yet, the protein change isn't all customers are focused on. Others are upset over the price, citing that it's anywhere between $6 and $8 for two wraps, depending on the state. "$6 for two wraps is criminal," a Reddit user posted. "I remember when these were a dollar in 2007," one commenter said. "They also had the sweet tea along with them!" Customers claimed that they visit other fast food restaurants instead, such as In-N-Out, because they've now found them to "be cheaper than McD's." "If I'm going to spend $12 plus for a McDonald's meal, I'd rather spend $20 and get better quality food," another social media commenter added. Despite the price being high for some fans, a similar menu item may actually cost more at other chains. For example, Arby's Ranch Chicken Wrap costs $3.69, which is 70 cents higher than McDonald' Customers Notice Big Change In Beloved Snack Wraps first appeared on Men's Journal on Jul 14, 2025
