Friends of Bill Belichick's ex-girlfriend Linda Holliday are "not interested in socializing with Jordon Hudson," a source tells PEOPLE The insider says members of the Nantucket social scene "talk s--- behind Jordon's back" Hudson could be "seen as an interloper," the source saysJordon Hudson has shaken up the Nantucket social scene where her boyfriend Bill Belichick's ex, Linda Holliday, has major status. Sources who have known Belichick, 73, and Holliday, 62, exclusively tell PEOPLE that there are mixed feelings about the football coach's current girlfriend, Hudson, 24. 'Social and charitable residents of Nantucket live there for a reason,' a source tells PEOPLE. 'They want to be around people like them, and they like to be secluded in that beautiful place. They are not interested in socializing with Jordon Hudson, especially those who are friends with Linda Holliday. That is for sure.' The source adds that the Nantucket residents hang with the same people year after year. 'Unless the person is special or influential they are not interested,' the source says. 'This includes Jordon.' Another source close to the swanky social scene tells PEOPLE the socialites of Nantucket can be hypocrites. 'They pretend they know nothing about Bill and Jordon yet talk s--- behind Jordon's back. Many of these people have been through the same thing as Linda has or done what Jordon did. They are no better. They just act like it.' Alternatively, the insider says Belichick's social status could help sway some residents into being supportive of his relationship. 'Depending on how much influence Bill has on the island — and he has had a lot — they could be supportive at some point,' the second source continues. 'It may take Jordon a while to get involved with what she wants, but she certainly can. It would have to be done in her own way and probably away from what Linda does,' they add. 'Most of Linda's friends don't want anything to do with Jordon,' a Florida-Nantucket source tells PEOPLE. 'Since Linda is established and well liked, Jordon could be seen as an interloper.' 'Whatever social events Jordon wants to be involved with she will do, whether it's with friends of Linda's or with others on Nantucket.' Things have already become tense between Holliday and Hudson, according to a source that told PEOPLE Belichick's ex-girlfriend was "aggressive" towards his girlfriend at at the Dreamland Stroll Party, which was DJed by Holliday's daughters, Ashley and Kat Hess. The source said that Hudson and Holliday engaged in a "verbal incident" waged with harsh words. "It was very uncomfortable. There was a lot being exchanged between them. It was very aggressive behavior," the insider shared, adding that while Hudson didn't instigate any interactions with Holliday's circle, the former cheerleader fielded comments throughout the evening. But Belichick and Hudson are going strong these days, with Hudson reportedly telling at least one person that they're engaged, according to the New York Times.
