Peoria tattoo shop owner accused of sending explicit messages to minor
The owner of a Peoria tattoo shop was arrested Tuesday on charges that he sent explicit messages on social media to a minor. Mario E. Davis, 34, was charged with grooming, indecent solicitation of a child and filing a false police report after he allegedly sent explicit messages to a child over social media. The Peoria Police Department said that on Feb. 12, they received a report from a concerned parent over explicit messages sent to their child over social media. More: Local attorney indicted for allegedly voting twice in Peoria County's April election Police then executed multiple search warrants and forensically analyzed multiple social media accounts. On Tuesday, Davis was taken into custody in the 7700 block of North Grand Prairie Drive. Davis' name is attached to Black Ink Supply LLC, which has an address of 7714 North Grand Prairie Drive, according to Illinois Secretary of State records. That address is home to InkCapital Tattoos, a local tattoo shop. Davis is currently being held at the Peoria County Jail. Butler Twp. man gets probation for trying to get 15-year-old to meet for sex
Jun. 6—A Butler Twp. man accused of trying to solicit a young girl for sex who turned out to be undercover law enforcement was sentenced to probation. John Dady, 54, was sentenced by Montgomery County Common Pleas Judge Mary Montgomery to up to five years of probation with intensive supervision with a sex offender specialist, according to the Montgomery County Prosecutor's Office. He was also ordered not to have any social media. According to the prosecutor's office, a sheriff's deputy was posing as a 15-year-old girl on social media as part of the Miami Valley Human Trafficking Task Force's Operation End Ohio Human Trafficking. On Oct. 9, 2024, Dady reportedly tried to get the fictional girl to meet for sex, and was arrested when he arrived, the prosecutor's office said.
