EasyJet is launching its summer seat sale next week – here's how to get the cheapest flights
EASYJET is launching its summer 2026 flights on next week, meaning you could bag some bargains if you're quick. Each quarter, easyJet launches flight tickets, and for those who book the moment they are launched, they can often get fares drastically cheaper than usual. 2 This is because the airline runs on a dynamic demand pricing model, which means that when there is a lot of demand for seats, the prices for flights will be higher. When there is less demand, you pay less. Demand will always be low the very second flights are released and so you can grab a bargain. However, you do have to be quick, as in the past prices have shot up within a couple of hours of them being released. founder Martin Lewis said: "Do benchmark what a good price on that route is beforehand, just so you can check whether it's worth it. "Though of course, if a particular flight is very substantially under-booked later on, you could get seats even cheaper then – that's just far more difficult to predict." With the next release due to take place on Tuesday July 22, travellers can grab cheap tickets for travel between June 15 and September 13, 2026. According to there will be 'millions' of seats on sale. Last year, 18million seats were available - of which 10million were either to or from the UK. Whilst there isn't an exact time that flights will go on sale, an easyJet spokesperson said: "Customers looking to book early and get great fares for next summer should keep an eye on the easyJet website from early in the morning." The Secret Code on Your Boarding Pass: Why You Should Never Throw It Away Previously, flights have been added to the website as early as 5am or 6am. But sometimes it has also been 8am. The best thing to do will be to get up bright and early and check regularly. For those who cannot wait until Tuesday, the airlines' CEO Kenton Jarvis recently told The Independent's Simon Calder: "There are definitely bargains to be had for those wanting to go to Turkey [this summer]. "That's probably looking better value this year than Greece." EasyJet flies to many destinations including popular holiday spots such as Tenerife, Athens and Cyprus. easyJet is launching new routes and destinations from Newcastle Airport EASYJET is significantly expanding its network from Newcastle Airport with the launch of 11 new direct flight routes starting from March 2026. This expansion nearly doubles the number of destinations served by easyJet from Newcastle. Here's a breakdown of the new routes and their planned launch dates: Corfu (Greece): Starts March 30, operating twice weekly Rhodes (Greece): Starts March 31, operating twice weekly Malta: Starts March 30, operating thrice weekly Faro (Portugal): Starts March 31, operating thrice weekly Dalaman (Turkey): Starts March 31, operating twice weekly Antalya (Turkey): Starts April 1, operating twice weekly Tunisia (Enfidha): Starts April 2, operating twice weekly Sharm el Sheikh (Egypt): Starts August 3, operating twice weekly Reus (Spain): Starts August 1, operating twice weekly Nice (France): Starts March 31, operating twice weekly (This is the first direct connection between Newcastle and Nice.) ‘The Bear' Renewed for Season 5 at FX
FX has once again said 'yes, chef' to 'The Bear,' renewing the hit culinary drama for a fifth season. ''The Bear' continues to be a fan favorite worldwide and their response to this season—as seen through incredibly high viewership—has been as spectacular as any of its previous seasons,' FX chairman John Landgraf said in a statement. 'Year-in and year-out, Chris Storer, the producers, cast and crew make 'The Bear' one of the best shows on television, and we are excited that they will continue to tell this magnificent story.' More from IndieWire Lena Dunham Took an 'Intentional Break' from Public Life Post-'Girls': 'I Felt Confused' After Media Backlash 'The Bear' Season 4 Should've Mixed Up the Menu - What Worked, What Didn't, and What's Next No production timeline or release date for 'The Bear' Season 5 was announced, though history suggests the show is likely to return in summer 2026. 'The Bear' famously releases new seasons at the same time that Emmy voters are considering the previous season, ensuring that the show is top of mind during the home stretch of the Emmy race. If that happens, Season 5 will aid the Emmy campaign of the just-dropped Season 4, which has received largely positive reviews, even if the ending proved to be polarizing. 'Seen one way, 'The Bear' Season 4 is still pretty fun; an emotionally rich restaurant drama with great food, a few laughs, and lots of heart,' IndieWire's Ben Travers wrote in his Season 4 review. 'Seen another way, though, and it's our second straight disappointment; a prolonged story propped up by its talented cast and dragged out for reasons that remain unclear. Revisiting 'The Bear' will likely always leave you nourished. But it's drifting further away from a Michelin-level hang.' Co-showrunners Christopher Storer and Joanna Calo also have to reckon with a problem faced by many successful TV shows: the budding film careers of their cast. Jeremy Allen White will play Bruce Springsteen (and possibly mount an Oscar campaign) for this fall's 'Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere,' Ebon Moss-Bachrach makes his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in this month's 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps,' and Ayo Edeberi stars in Luca Guadagnino's upcoming campus drama 'After the Hunt.' The first flight is scheduled for Thursday, 26 March 2026 and the service will operate twice-weekly on Mondays and Thursdays - flight time will be five and a half hours. TUI UK&I Commercial Director Chris Logan said: "Due to strong customer demand, we are thrilled to once again connect the East Midlands with the stunning Red Sea resort of Sharm El Sheikh. During the summer months, temperatures in Sharm el Sheikh sit between 35 and 38C. Sharm el Sheikh is also a popular winter sun destination because its average temperature is 24C which is around 17C warmer than the UK for that time of year. It's not just flights, TUI also offers all-inclusive holiday packages to the resort. TUI offers a four-night holiday to Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt staying at the 4T+ Rixos Sharm El Sheikh. An all-inclusive basis here start from £1349 per person - which works out at £192.70 pp per night. Both are based on two adults sharing a room with flights leaving in summer 2026. Sharm el Sheikh in Egypt was once one of the most popular holiday destinations for Brits, particularly through the 1990s. It remained popular until 2015, when a terror attack on a Russian passenger plane killed all 224 onboard. Flights from the UK were stopped for four years, with TUI reintroducing holiday packages in 2019. This was following the UK Foreign Office issuing new guidance which said Sharm el-Sheikh was considered safe after the airport security was overhauled and updated. However, just a few months later Covid hit, meaning the holiday resort once again saw tourist levels drop. TUI reintroduced the route again in summer 2022, and summer 2023 due to the rise in popular demand. In recent years, Egypt has been named the 'best value for money' destination, according to the Post Office Travel Money analysis. On average, meals and drinks are significantly cheaper than in the UK. One Travel Writer stayed at the Egypt resort with the country's largest water park.
