RNLI urges public to learn this vital sea survival technique
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) is advocating for a crucial skill called 'Float To Live' to enhance water safety.
This technique instructs individuals to tilt their head back and extend their arms and legs 'like a starfish' to float.
The RNLI reports that the 'Float To Live' method has successfully saved the lives of over 50 people.
A video montage shared by the charity features testimonials from individuals who used the technique to survive after encountering difficulties in the water.
