Evacuations ordered in Canora, Sask. while RCMP investigate suspicious package

Wednesday while RCMP investigate a suspicious package in the community. RCMP said the package was found behind a business on the 300 block of Main Street. Residents are being asked to avoid the Main Street area between 2nd and 3rd avenues until further notice. 'The origin and contents of the package have not yet been determined. The investigation continues with the assistance of Saskatchewan RCMP's Explosive Disposal Unit. Updates will be provided when available,' RCMP said in a news release. Anyone with information is asked to contact Canora RCMP or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers. Canora, Sask. is located about 49 kilometres north of Yorkton.
