Trump Leaves Starmer Scrabbling On The Ground As He Unveils US-UK Trade Deal
Keir Starmer was left scrabbling on the ground after Donald Trump dropped a load of papers as he unveiled a US-UK trade deal.
The embarrassing incident came after the pair held talks at the G7 summit in Canada.
As the pair faced the media, the US president opened the folder he was holding, instantly spilling the sensitive documents onto the ground.
The prime minister immediately bent down to collect the papers and hand them back.
'This is a very important document,' Starmer said before laughing and placing it back in Trump's folder.
Bizarrely, the president then appeared to confuse the United Kingdom with the EU.
He told the journalists: 'So we have a trade agreement with the European Union and it's a fair deal for both, and it produces a lot of jobs, a lot of income.
'And we have many, many other ones coming. But you see, the level of enthusiasm is very good, but the relationship that we have is fantastic.'

The deal will see the import tariffs on British cars entering the US market slashed from 25% to 10%.
However, an agreement on reducing import taxes on British steel and aluminium products from 25% to zero – compared to the global rate of 50% – has yet to be finalised.
Trump said: 'The UK is very well protected, you know why? Because I like them. That's their ultimate protection.'
Starmer said: 'Donald, thank you very much… A really important agreement. And so this is a very good day for both of our countries, a real sign of strength.'
