Snake falls out of gift box during 3-year-old's birthday bash

A mother was left in 'complete shock' after a large snake fell out of the box of a new toy car during celebrations for her daughter's third birthday. Jennifer Baker, 30, from Norris Green, Liverpool, said she thought it was a prank by one of her sons when a bright orange snake emerged from the packaging. Her daughter had received a Peppa Pig car as a present earlier in the day, which the mother unboxed before placing the cardboard packaging above her kitchen oven, ready to put in their outside recycling bin. After continuing with her day, Baker returned to move the discarded box, only to discover it was much heavier than before — and contained what she assumed was a toy snake. 'I said: 'Whose is this?'' Baker said, thinking it belonged to one of her two sons. 'I was thinking 'they haven't got a toy snake that looks like that'.'
