Tram services altered ahead of Notts Pride

Tram services are being changed and road closures have been announced as the city is set to celebrate Notts Express Transit (NET) said there would be no services running between the Royal Centre and Old Market Square, between 11:20 and 14:30 BST on Saturday, "to enable essential road closures" to allow the march to take Old Market Square and Lace Market tram stops will be closed, with no alternative transport options Pride march will begin at Lister Gate and end at Sneinton Market. Tram services in Nottingham will run to a revised timetable while several vehicles which are currently out-of-service undergo Express Transit (NET) said trams will run every 15 minutes between 06:00 and 07:00 BST, every 10 minutes between 07:00 and 21:00, and then every 15 minutes until services end for the new schedule takes effect on Wednesday and is expected to remain in place for four weeks, the operator said repairing the out-of-service vehicles would help provide a more robust and reliable service.

Nottingham tram operator cancels a number of rush hour services

A number of morning rush hour tram services have been cancelled following disruption on Sunday evening. Tram operator Nottingham Express Transit (NET) said services on all lines would be affected. Cancelled services include the 08:15 BST and 08:45 from Hucknall, the 07:08 and 07:38 from Toton, the 07:25 and 08:18 from Phoenix Park and the 07:22 and 08:15 from Clifton. A spokesperson said: "Our team are working hard to return trams into service." This comes after the operator announced at 19:00 on Sunday evening that all services had been cancelled due to technical problems.

All tram services in Nottingham have been suspended on Sunday evening due to technical problems. Shortly after 19:00 BST, tram operator NET confirmed the entire network had been affected. It said problems related to the control room being able to communicate with drivers meant all trams to return to depots. NET apologised for the disruption and said it was working to fix the issues. In a statement NET said: "I'm very sorry, but due to issues with our control room communicating with trams, we have had to suspend our services and return them to our depot. "We're working to resolve this issue and will keep you updated if anything changes." It added that bus operator NCT was accepting tram tickets and passes, as was East Midland Railway for journeys between Nottingham Station, Bulwell, Hucknall and Beeston.
