Temporary bus station set up at Conestoga Mall during construction
Bus users at Conestoga Mall will need to hop onboard at a temporary bus station while Grand River Transit makes improvements to its current platform.
The transit service is laying down fresh concrete at the bus island and upgrading the crosswalks. Other improvements include new tactile edges along the bus bays, new tactile surfaces for navigating the station, new shelters, passenger information displays, a fare vending machine, security cameras and lighting.
Construction will start in mid-June and is expected to take approximately three months.
During that time, the bus platforms will be closed, and buses will pick up passengers at a temporary station north of Sport Check.
ION train service will not be affected.
