Two Guelph Transit employees assaulted
A Guelph man has been charged with assault and banned from using Guelph Transit.
The Guelph Police Service were called to the transit hub on Carden Street around noon on Monday. They were told a man had become verbally aggressive when asked to leave a bus. During the altercation, he spat in the bus driver's face and pulled a supervisor by the lanyard around her neck.
Officers found the 31-year-old Guelph man nearby and arrested him on two assault charges. He was released on conditions including a ban from Guelph Transit.
